Hi
I just got Back from WDW last weekend next year thinking of going to DL. I check for a seven night package at the DLH and was a food package an ticket to Universal and transportation to and from the airport it was 2200.00 for two. I never book a WDW package I just do everything seperate. But if we do Buy the package How does the food options work at DL If I buy six days it says I have so many breakfest and snack options? I would rather just get two meals a day. Could someone let me know what the options are? How many meals a day you get and how many snacks?

Thanks KELLY

Unless things have changed recently, DL only has the vouchers for snacks and certain meals. I don't have a full understanding of them, but I believe they are vouchers for dollar amounts and you get specific numbers of vouchers that can only be used for specified meals.

While I like the DL packages for hotel and tickets, they don't have the same kind of meal packages that they have at WDW (where you can use "wishes" and get all-inclusive meals).

Personally, I think I would just pay for the meals out of pocket so you have the flexibility to eat what you want to eat, where you want to eat it, without having to worry whether you'll be getting your moneys worth with the vouchers, etc.

Hopefully someone else can better explain!

Yes I think you are better off just paying for meals, or charging them to your room rather than the meal plan. All it is is vouchers with an amount, I want to say it was somewhere along the lines of 1- $20 2 - $10 3- $5 and a breakfast voucher. (this is not exact) but anyways, the vouchers can be used for any meal just like cash and if your bill is $15.65 and you use a $20 voucher, I am not positive but I do not think you get change. So you would have to carry cash anyways because then you would want to use a $10 voucher and pay the rest in cash so as not to lose money! Anyway it depends on your style but I personally wouldn't. It comes out pretty even when you would all it in the package or just pay yourself. Have a great time~!
