Has anyone ever taken this shuttle with an infant? Is it a regular bus, or a van? Do I need to bring a car seat for my 8 month old, or will I be able to hold her on my lap? Any comments on this transportation?

TIA!

It is a Grey Hound full size bus. You won't need a carseat - that is the nice thing about the DL Express!

Haven't done it with an infant but instead with two young children who need carseats. It is a big Greyhound type bus (but decorated wth Disney decorations - you can't miss it!) So you actually aren't allowed to use carseats on it. Kids sit in your lap or in their own regular seat. OTOH, I worried about the safety but OTOH it was sooooo nice to not have to worry about carseats at all!

You'll be fine. The safety issues aren't a worry in such a big vehicle like that. If they were, you can bet the bus company would be held to enforce carseat laws like everyone else, especially with lawsuits and liability being what they are these days. If you have concern, wear your baby in a sling or Ergobaby carrier, or something to keep them close during the ride. That way they are a little more restrained than on your lap.

Like the previous poster said, big giant "greyhound bus" luxury motorcoach - with no seat belts or restraint devices in the big cushy seats. At 8 months, I'm guessing she's almost out of her bucket seat, so you won't need to bring that along for convenience like you would for a 3 month old.

the reason i chose the DL express bus is because i wouldn't have to lug my carseat with us! i'll just hold my 8month old dd in my lap. :)

Gray Line, not Greyhound. :) (says the daughter of a former driver for greyhound)

;) I totally understand.

Sometimes folks understand/explain the concept better using the term "Greyhound". That company's branding is internationally seen as being synonymous for touring buses.

Think of it being the same as using the term "Kleenex" for all brands of snot rags! :thumbsup2
