Hi :)

We re looking at booking a return trip on the Disneyland Express from Lax to Hojo for our trip in April. :woohoo:

Have read that the bus will stop at hotels within the disney area but is only scheduled to stop at the Disney hotels.
When looking at the online ticket ordering form, it asks for a pickup time/date at lax & hotel location but for return journey only asks for a return date.

We was just wondering if the Disneyland Express automatically stops at Hojo throughout the day to see if anyones waiting to pick the bus up for Lax, or if you have to call to book a pick up ?

If it does automatically make stops at Hojo throughout the day, does anyone know how often the buses stop?

Many thanks in advance for all your help :goodvibes

this is the link to the brochure on the website but it's dated 2009 so I woudl probably call and ensure it is correct but if it is it should answer most of your questions.

we took it in 2009 from HOJO's and didn't have to call, but make sure you allow lots of time and first the bus didn't come (they were training a new driver who drove past but didn't stop) and switching buses ad DLH took a fair bit of time.

we took the DLE last June from a non-Disney hotel. I did call to say we needed a ride back. I don't know if it automatically stopped at our hotel or not on a daily basis. I wasn't taking any chances. We stopped at the Disneyland Hotel and had to change buses to the LAX bus since ours was for a different airport.

We used the DL Express last weekend and even though we were at a Disney hotel (GCH), they told us to call for a pick up for our return to the airport. I think you would definitely have to call for a HOJO pickup as there are simply too many hotels for them to stop at all of them if there may be no one to pickup. I think they only automatically go to the Disney hotels.

By the way, we didn't book online, but simply got on at the airport and when we arrived at the DLH they took payment for a return trip. We also were able to use the coupon on this site:

Thankyou for the responses :thumbsup2

I had a feeling we might be best to call but just wanted to make sure.

Did you call 24 hours before pickup or on the morning of departure day?

Does anyone know if you can only use the discount when paying in person or if theres a code you can also use online?

For Hojo does anyone know if the bus pulls into the hotel or stops outside?

Many thanks :goodvibes

The Disneyland Express drives by Hojo's on its normal route, but you will still need to call ahead to let them know you need to be picked up. The bus doesn't pull into the hotel parking lot; it picks up at a curbside bus stop.

I've not purchased tickets online so I can't advise on that. Don't know if you've already seen this or not, but here's a link to a coupon for $5 off per person for the Disneyland Express bus :thumbsup2
