We're thinking about using this service, but wondered whereabouts it stops, we are staying at the HOJO, will it stop right outside the hotel when it drops us off? Also when it picks us up for the return do we have to wait outside or can we wait in the hotel lobby? Am trying to decide between this and Supershuttle, we're on a really tight budget, and those seem the cheapest option, it's just 2 adults. Thanks :D

The Disneyland Express will drop you off right in front of the Hojo lobby. I've never waited in the lobby for the bus, as the lobby is rather small and has always been filled with people checking in/out, but I don't see why it'd be a problem if you wanted to, so long as you watched for the bus...

Thanks for that. Umm sounds like it might not work then, I can just see the bus driving on past! We wouldn't fancy waiting outside in the heat, we're from the UK and not used to it, so maybe the supershuttle will be the better option then? :confused3

I've not taken the Super Shuttle so I can't say. Don't know when your trip is but I can say it shouldn't be uncomfortably hot unless you're there in July or August.

Yep we're there in July! :lmao: Last visit was in August and it was baking, we stayed at the GCH that time and used a towncar service, but this trip is a very tight budget and no way we could stand the heat waiting for the bus, lol, so think that ideas a no-no. :confused3

You may be able to call ahead (ie: the morning you need to take the bus) and ask them if the bus is on schedule, and what the estimated time of arrival is. That way you could find a shady spot outdoors to wait (if the lobby is super-full), and move closer to the bus stop when it gets close to the time to be picked up.

I'm not sure what the pricing on the standard hotel-to-airport shuttles are as I've never used them; hopefully someone else has some insight into that?

They are on a set schedule when they depart HOJOs, you can check with grey lines website or HOJOs front desk. When we used them, I believe the pickup at HOJOs was at 40 minutes past the hour. I am not sure if they have changed their schedule or not.

I used the Super Shuttle for my trips in April and November of last year. We stayed at the Desert Inn and basically we had to wait outside on the curb for them and it was a set schedule. But they were always on time.

Whenever we have used the Disneyland bus from the airport, it has always stopped at the Disneyland Hotel first. Someone gets on the bus, collects payment, then the bus continues on to the other hotels after this short stop. The Super Shuttle would take you straight to your hotel, but would probably stop at whatever hotels the other passengers in the shuttle were going to. I have taken the shuttle twice and we were packed in pretty tightly. The driver actually insisted my 3 year old sit on my lap so he could fit in more passengers!! Then he drove around in circles around the airport until he was full. I prefer the bus now, because it is roomier, cooler and more comfortable.

Can you provide more info about the bus service from Santa Ana airport? We sill stay at the Fairfield Inn in July.

Thanks, I didn't realise it was a set schedule. Still not sure what to do, but if the supershuttle expects you to wait kerbside I guess at least the disney express would be more roomy once we were on it! :confused3

Ask the front desk at the Hojo about a car service. It's called Sunny's and they operate Lincoln Towncars - $40 flat to SNA. Great service. Used it earlier this week.

Thanks, just found their website, but a bit over our budget as we are flying from LAX, but thanks anyway.

Never mind, I googled it
