Disneyland Exclusive Mickey at BABW

Hi everyone!

Just to let you know: Build-a-Bear Workshop came out with stuff-your-own Mickey and Minnie this week! Mickey and Minnie are only available in DTD in Disneyland and the Orlando Mall in Florida. I work at BABW in LA and (nerd that I am) spotted Mickey and Minnie on the merchandise list at work and had to check it out when I was in Disneyland this weekend. Mickey comes with his signature red shorts and Minnie comes in her red spotted dress, but they also can be changed into any Build-a-Bear clothes. They would make GREAT holiday decorations since BABW does seasonal outfits. (If you need an excuse to get them! ) They are $28 each and $50 for the set. I, as a Disney and BABW dork had to get Mickey. . Oh, and they will have Pooh in July, but he will be available in all stores.

I saw they also have Build your own Hello Kitty (didn't think it was worth it personally). I'm curious to see Pooh though!

My DD can't wait for the Hello Kitty! I will be getting the Mickey/Minnie set because the only time we get to see BABW is on vacation.

My dd has been bugging me all weekend long for Hello Kitty, now there's a Mickey & Minnie one too. Need to put some of their older build a bears away to make room for new ones. LOL!

Hello Kitty is cute and all, but I personally would prefer Mickey & Minnie over Hello Kitty. *Off Topic: Recently I saw a hello kitty video playing in a store and she could speak but she had no mouth!

We bought Mickey and Minnie on June 11 when we were in DTD They are very cute!!!!

We're going in August too, and I suspect they will still be there. After all, they did just come out and I cannot imagine they will only be around for a few months.

I'm not sure how long they will be around. A lot of times, unless it is a specific limited edition, people working at the BABW stores don't know exactly how long things will be around. There has been a rumor that they are only going to be around for a few months, but honestly that's just a rumor I've seen floating around a few ebay auctions. Usually BABW does retire all animals after a while, no matter how popular they are. I would say that Mickey and Minnie probably won't be a staple forever.

I haven't figured out how to post a picture on here of them yet! But if you go to ebay and search for "Build-a-Bear Mickey" you will find a few pictures of them.
