Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Hey all... Sorry to be MIA... been crazy busy at work and went to DL this past weekend... I gained 5.2 lbs!!! But luckily this morning 1.8 of it came right off because of water retention... Big boss from Israel is in this week and boy does he stress the office out. But at least he noticed my weight loss and congratulated me :) The last time he saw me was back in May and I had lost about 40 lbs then... Now I'm at about 65 lbs lost... Was at 70 lbs lost before DL lol!!! Anywho I will hopefully be getting a trip report and pictures up soon! Hope everyone is doing well...

I've had a VERY stressful couple of weeks, but at least with all the stress, I'm losing weight and not gaining (haha).:goodvibes

Anyway, I've lost about 15 pounds so far. (I say "about 15 pounds" because I have an old fashion scale, so it's kinda hard to tell exactly what number the little arrow is pointing to.)

And in the spirit of election day, I VOTED! Actually DH and I voted 2 weeks ago because we vote using absentee ballots, which makes it so much easier.

Go vote everyone! :woohoo:

Thanks! I voted too by early ballot... Keep up your awesome work! 15 lbs is no small feat! My original goal was to be down to 155 by January 3rd but thats not gonna happen... LOL!! I am just gonna keep truckin... I have plans to be very good food wise this holiday season... Christmas won't be too tough its Thanksgiving that will kill me... I really like stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and pumpkin pie... oh and we can't forget the green bean casserole... All the things that are NOT good for you on the table... LOL... I can skip turkey and cranberries... lol... Oh well... I will get there... Just gotta toughen up on my eating on the weekends and start getting back on track with my work outs...

What is everyone's plan of attack for the holidays? My first plan is to avoid the munchie my in-laws put out before food... I am also going to avoid the fruit cocktail whipped cream marshmallow thing my mother in law makes... I am going to stick with one helping of everything I like and no seconds! We'll see how this all works out tho... LOL... :lmao:

In other news DH is home sick... My poor pookie has some sort of stomach issue and apparently it isn't pretty... He threw up this morning... He hasn't been this sick since before I met him... :sad1:

There are some pretty good recipes for "light" Thanksgiving foods -- from light pumpkin pie, to potatoes and better and worse stuffings. I think Thanksgiving can be done wisely AND deliciously. Just takes volunteering to prepare those dishes that others tend to over butter.

I love all that too! I can totally skip the turkey and just have sides. LOL

I think my plan of attack is going to be one day or one meal limits. For example, on Thanksgiving I'm not going to worry about it. I'll make all the usual goodies, and then have what I want. BUT it's one day only. I'm not going to pig out on left overs for days and days afterwards like I usually do. I think for me that will make a huge difference.




I'm much more worried about all the baking. I LOVE to bake. I have so many recipes I do every year and I hate the thought that I can't make them. :sad2:
 
I got RID of all the candy. The whole huge BOX of it. Gone! :sad:

Hi everyone. Today has definitely been bad as far as eating goes. I just got back from voting and I will be going to the gym in a bit.

Crazy enough, I could fit into 11/13 sweatpants at wal-mart. Their sizing must be WAY off:lmao:. I ended up buying a large 11/13 mickey sweater and a medium 7/8 sweat capris. They are my short term goal clothes. It didn't hurt that they were on clearance ;)

I'm excited to start again because I'm aiming for 218 by December 31st and to be a size 18 by the 2nd week of December for our Christmas photos.

Hoping to get a 1 hour run in sometime later this week. My heel is still not right, but I'm hoping my new shoes will solve the problem.

I haven't been doing so well on the eating portion of my diet. :sad2: I've been doing OK, but not as well as I hopped to be. I guess it's good that I'm taking baby steps and not diving in head first. The exercises portion has also been less then stellar for me, but that just gives me another thing to work on.

Hopefully I still have some kind of weight loss this week, no matter how small.

Sorry I haven't been around.

Eating hasn't been horrible but exercise has. I haven't worked out at all this week :sad2: I have an essay due tomorrow and I haven't even started so that pretty much stops me from going today as well. I have school from 12-4:20 and then I come home, eat and get down to business.

Wendy, why are we such good procrastinators? :laughing:

So my friend has the hookups to the next three books of the Twilight series and she is going to get them for me. :dance3:
 
I am still around. I sometimes forget to check in when I am on the dis. :rolleyes1 I am not doing as great as I had hoped. DH and DD's birthdays are this week and with Halloween treats, I just had no chance. I did eat more that I hoped..but I am back on track as of right now.

Finally I've made it back to the boards :cool1: It's been one heck of a couple of weeks. I had four events in two weeks. Two of them for the entire company. One was a dessert reception for a bunch of retirees and then on Friday there was a company wide BBQ lunch. Needless to say the diet did not go well. WAY too many little desserts (yup they add up), cookies from the BBQ lunch, then Halloween candy (we only had ONE trick-or-treater). Gained back 2 lbs (YIKES). Back to the drawing board...AGAIN

I did hit the gym a couple of times and we did do a 4 mile walk on Sunday. I really have to get back to tracking my food. That is really what works for me no mater how much I hate it.

We had a health fair at work today (luckily I didn't have to plan this one). Got good results from the Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and strenght test. I even did the body mass density test and although I knew the results wouldn't be fantastic, but I was amazed at how much muscle mass I actually do have.

Hopefully the weather will be nice this weekend and I can get DH on the trail on both Saturday AND Sunday.
 
I ended up getting to the gym today. My workout was amazing. It's crazy how much I missed it. Normally on the elliptical it takes me 17 minutes to complete one mile, today (after not exercising for 16 days in a row) I completed my mile in 14 minutes! I proceeded to complete 20 minutes total on the elliptical and 25 on the treadmill. I have this tiredness that I haven't had in awhile and I LOVE it.
 
I have not been eating well or exercising so I am up 2 lbs this week. Today is a new beginning though. Here is to a great week!

TGIF ladies!!!

Well, I am finally back on track, even if it's the slow track. LOL I was 216.4 last week and am 214.4 this week for a loss of exactly 2 pounds. Hey, I'll take it! :cool1:

Ruben got back on track too after playing around with the same 2-3 lbs for the past month and a half. I told him he should get serious again with the holidays coming and he did. Lost 6 lbs in one week. Ummm, yeah, sure I'm happy for him. :rolleyes1

:rotfl: Nah, I AM happy for him, and only a teeny bit jealous. But I know it's easier for men, and it's nice we are losing this weight together since we gained it together.

I'm finally DOWN this week (assuming my scale works at all) -- somewhere between .5 and 1 pound. Probably just losing muscle from not exercising, but still felt a little motivated by seeing that I CAN get the scale to move in that direction. :goodvibes I've been stuck for so long.

I got in an hour run yesterday and next week I"m meeting with my personal trainer to get my new training schedule. So time to start gearing up for my 1/2 marathon on Feb 1! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
