I’m going to DL in August, and while I don’t think they have any DVC park discounts, I still find the people in the DVC community to be the most knowledgeable. Where would you guys go to get the best price? I was able to find $21 off/ticket through GOV.X as a federal employee. I’m trying to see if I can do better.

Also, do you think they let me apply my DL day pass purchases to my WDW AP (assuming it ever comes about)? I think it’s a stretch, but I figure I’d ask.

The last time I went to DL was about 4 years ago. They gave DVC discounts then at just about every restaurant, including quick service. I don't know if that's still the case or not.

That’s good to know. Do you happen to know about park admission? If not DVC, what is the best source of park discounts?

There is not a DVC discount on tickets. There used to be $20 off an AP. Yep- $20. There are very few discounts on DL tickets besides advance purchase. You prob won’t find better than your employee rate.
Like PP said, you’ll get 10% off basically all food except a few carts. We were just there last weekend and they still asked for AP discounts every time, which triggered the “no, but we have DVC” from us.

Ok, thanks. $21 off is about the best I can find so far for a two day park hopper.

I purchased DL tickets in April for the Grand Re-Opening. Best price I could find, with very short notice and limited research, was through either AAA or TicketsAtWork. The discount was identical but TicketsAtWork adds a small 'handling' fee.

I have access to both, so I’ll have to take a look. I appreciate the tips.

No DVC discount on theme park tickets.

Right now the best discount I have found is if your cell phone carrier is TMobile, the TMobile Tuesdays app is offering up to a 30% discount on theme park tickets, including Disneyland and Disney World. Despite the apps name, you can get the discount any day through the end of summer for tickets purchased as far in advance as each given theme park allows.

Otherwise, Costco is a good place to check. Another option is if you have a Target Red Card, you can get 5% off Disney Gift Cards and use those to buy tickets directly from Disney.

As to the other question, now you won't be able to apply your purchase price of DL ticket to WDW APs if they ever come back. There was a point in time where it would work to apply WDW tickets to DL passes, then it changed to using unused days at DL, then went away completely.
