Hello
I have been to WDW many (10+ times) and am a huge Disney fan but I have never been to DL or CA. I will be in DL and CA for 1 day each and I am wondering if any of you have a favorite restaurant to eat in for either lunch or dinner. I have eaten in many different restaurants in WDW and love most of them but I am looking for one not to miss to get the Disney experience in DL or CA. I am looking for a favorite for table service or counter service.

Also if you know of a website with great suggestions I welcome that as well.

I tried searching to forums but if you search on food or other similar term I get many posts.

Thanks in advance :cool1:

Two other places to consider that don't exist in WDW are the Enchanted Cottage (next to the Snow White show) for Bratwurst & Knockwurst sandwiches and some yummy snacks. And the Bengal Bar-B-Que for some delicious beef, chicken or pork skewers. Both are on death row however, so get there soon.

And for a yummy snack, try either the Tigger Tail (in the candy shop next to the Winnie the Pooh ride) or Dole Whip (next to Tiki Birds - Order from the courtyard (shorter line) and take it inside the Tiki bird show).

Thanks so much for that link, I can't wait till I go, getting closer :sunny: :cool1:

Say it ain't so - they are on death row? I really enjoy the bengal bar-b-que.
Do you have any dates for when they may gone?

When I'm in DCA, I like to eat at Ariel's Grotto for the striker penne pasta and french onion soup! Yumm!:goodvibes

In DL, I like Blue Bayou's prime rib w/ au grautin potatoes and their Monte Cristo sandwich is heavenly!

Our favorite place to eat during our trip in June was the "Hungry Bear Restaurant." It's counter service, but there is lots of upper level patio seating, extra nice if you can get a table over looking the river, plus more seating downstairs. Also note that the bathrooms for this area "Critter Country" are downstairs under the restaurant.

My two favorite DL restaurants are Blue Bayou and Hungry Bear. Hungry Bear is counter service in Critter Country, but the view from the back deck, looking out over the Rivers of America, is gorgeous and so relaxing. Blue Bayou is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the 'nighttime' atmosphere is amazing. The monte cristo sandwich is delicious! LOL, thinking about it, I'm bummed I have to wait 11 more months for another monte cristo!
