I know the MDE/WDW Dining Reservations is flakey when it comes to DVC reservations. I've finally been having luck making our Florida dining reservations on the past few trips.

Today is the 60-day mark for our Disneyland trip. First time I've ever used the Disneyland.com site, and I'm having the same problem. It won't recognize the DVC reservation number. Is there any way to get around this? Well, maybe I should ask this first -- does Disneyland do the 60 days + 7 for dining reservations, or is it a straight 60 days?

Thanks!

I went right to the source and called the Disneyland dining reservation line. Their system isn't set up like Florida's. It's day-to-day bookings at the 60-day point from the desired dining reservation. They don't do the +7 that Florida does for resort guests.

Seems like the last time we went in May 2013, the only way to make reservations was to call. I do recall that, at 60 days, we had no problem getting what we wanted including Napa Rose, and a WOC Package including lunch reservation and reserved area admission for the show. We were only there for 2 days so didn't really have to deal with the lack of the 60+ benefit.

It's nice that DL dining reservations are not the same frenzy as WDW.

They say it's because so many guests are locals, and locals prefer to spend most of their day on attractions vs spending a bunch of time at a TS meal.

FWIW, we are DLR locals and nearly always enjoy a TS meal when visiting even w/out an overnight stay. My theory? Our dining remains more laid-back for lack of interference from (dreaded!) 'dining plans.'

Yep. One of several things I like better about DL!

We've had several DL trips (next one in march) and never had trouble making reservations well under 60 days, sometimes even making them just a week out our even day of fr some places.

AND since they're day by day 60 days, I dint even bother calling until I can make all days at once.

I do have a tag along question though, since you just called. Is DL doing CC holds for all restaurants like WDW now?

I've only had credit card holds at Napa Rose and Carthay Circle. We do TS for dinner every night we visit. The only times I've had problems getting reservations are the big weekends - races and Thanksgiving.
