Disneyland december 2016

Due to some costly things coming up it looks like we will be cancelling our trip this august and moving it until december !
i have a few questions

1. Looking to stay at the homwood suites anahiem (the new one) any reviews on this hotel ?

2. Have to chose between 2 dates dec 5-10 or 12-17... crowd wise which would be better ?

3. If there is a mickeys christmas party during our stay is that worth the extra money ?

cant think of anything else at the moment.. im sure more questions will come up

As of right now there is no Mickey's Christmas Party at DL (Only WDW). All Christmastime offerings (holiday parade, fireworks, etc.) are included with price of regular admission.

As PP said- unless there's some big change this year- no Christmas Party. As far as crowds I would go with the earlier dates- the later the dates in Dec the more kids are out of school or people pull them out a week earlier. The first week is busy but good, the second busy but manageable and the third week is crazy- this is usually all before most kismds are out of school even! I can't help with hotel reviews there- sorry

We went last year from the Sunday of the Candlelight Processional to Wed. It was much more crowded than past years when we went on similar dates. The crowd calendars from previous years were a 4 in Disney and 3 in CA Adventure. This year, the parks were at a 7!
