Hello! Hoped for some advice please...

We're heading to Disneyland on honeymoon in April 2018. I know it's a v long way off but I'm over excited so doing any planning that I can. I'm currently on the 'planning lovely and fun evenings out' part of the holiday excitement.

Does anyone have recommendations for the best hotels/bars either on or offsite. We're partial to a classic cocktail or a good red but any ideas welcome!!

Thanks so much!!

Carthay Lounge you can try to get a table for 2. Also, UVA Bar is outdoor seating in the middle of DTD and Catal has happy hour, but if you sit at the far end of the bar it's like a semi-private table.

Carthay Circle (in DCA) and Steakhouse 55 Lounge (in Disneyland hotel) sound like good choices for what you like. Hearthstone (in Grand Californian Hotel) is nice, too, but may be more chaotic since it is part of the lobby area of the hotel.

We have date night every time we go to DL -- by far my favorite so far was doing the chef's table at Napa Rose. When we don't do that, we "bar hop" in DTD, doing Uva Bar outside and a couple of the other places in DTD. If it's a park day for you, we also really like the bar at Carthay Circle but I'm not fond of doing Carthay Circle restaurant for date night for the simple reason that it's still a DL restaurant, with all the overly tired, often misbehaving kids that entails. The food is very good but I just don't like it for "date night." Last time we were there we had an out of control toddler crawling under our table with his parents nearby who didn't seem to care, probably because "it's Disneyland." Bar-hopping ensures you have a grown-up night.

Trader Sam's at the DLH is also fun and no kids are allowed in after a certain time of night ... maybe 6? Although it can be difficult to get a seat. Very casual and food isn't as good as some of the places above, but it's just fun to go there.
