My husband and I were planning on taking our kids to Disneyland for my daughter's bday over spring break 2005. We are in AZ and figured it wouldn't be too crowded since we are on a different spring break than CA school. So we were looking around March 15. However we recently heard it is EXTREMELY crowded at that time (as bad as summer). Can anyone advise???

Hope this helps:
Highest Attendance:
Presidents' week in February
Mid-March through Late April (Spring Break)
Memorial Day weekend
Mid-June through Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and weekend
Christmas week through New Year's Day

I've been in DL the 1st week of March, and I didn't experience any crowds :earsgirl:

Have a wonderful time!

Oppss....here is some more info I found for you:
Moderate Attendance:
After Presidents' week in February through early March
Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend)
The first part of Thanksgiving week

Lowest Attendance:
January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' week in February
The week following Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving week
The week following Thanksgiving until the week prior to Christmas

Maybe the 2nd week of March might be best. Things may have changed since the last time I was at DL. Maybe you can call the DL resorts directly and see how busy they think March gets and when the best time to go is.

Please also keep in mind that 2005 is the 50th anniversary, and even though the "official" date is May 5, you might encounter heavier than usual crowds all year long. I know Disney will certainly be trying to make it so!

Those were the dates of our (Oklahoma) spring break this past school year...We chose to go to DLR, instead of WDW because the cost was a little less, and we thought crowds would be low because Ca spring break was not that week! Boy, were we wrong! Apparently the whole state of Az goes to DLR that week! It was pretty darn busy...not to the levels of x-mas/new years week, but they were running out of FP's by noon or 1pm most days! A couple of times the line for HM extended all the way past River Belle Terrace!!!! The parks were supposed to close at 8pm and 10 pm with 1 showing of Fantasmic and fireworks, but they extended hours to 10pm and 12 am and added another showing of Fantasmic! So, we learned our lesson! We have been to WDW that same week and it was ALOT less crowded! Maybe the only reason was that the crowds have more places to go, but whatever the reason, it was alot less hectic! I think next yesr will be as bad or worse due to the 50th! If I were you and could manage it, I would choose another time. We got AP's, so we may try to get back this fall or winter. I hope the crowds are less!:earseek:
