Disneyland Crowds After New Years

I know that the crowds at Disneyland are huge during the week between Christmas and New Years. Can anyone tell me how the crowds are the several days after New Years (i.e. Jan 3-6)??

It might have some spill over into the following week with New Years on a Sunday. But it won't be crazy busy at all. Also be aware that rehabs will start and the Christmas decorations come down quickly. HM will probably be closed during that period.

I've been there starting Jan 3 several times and it was perfect timing. HOWEVER , with the timing of Christmas this year, all the school districts in our County (northern Calif) are taking their Christmas break from 12/23/2011 thru 1/8/2012.

Year round LA Unified students go back to school on 1/3, but their traditional students don't go back till 1/8. (not sure how many of their kids are year round compared to traditional.)

oh, one more thing: Going in consecutive years on Jan 3, they had haunted closed for holiday decor removal one year and small world closed at the very same time the following year
