Disneyland Confession

I can't take the guilt anymore. I have to confess. On our recent trip, we arrived at the Hyperion Theater 5 minutes before the Aladdin show was to start. A CM directed us where to park our stroller before getting in the long line, and when we did, the CM for the VIP line (which was walking in right by us at the time) mistook us for the end of the VIP line. So yes, we cheated and sat in orchestra seating. (By the way, those are some great seats and the parade went right by us!)

For those of you who are perfect and never do wrong, don't worry, karma got me. When we returned from our trip my car had a flat tire and there was a jury summons waiting in the mail.

But surely someone else has a Disney confession . . . spill it! :)

I have a confession. I cut in line at Riverbelle Terrace... GASP! My mom was saving us seats for Billy Hill and we wanted a fruit parfait. The closest place that sold it was Riverbelle. There was a little bit of a line, but the people who would be next at the register were still waiting for their food to be cooked. I snuck in, grabbed the parfait, paid and was out of there before their food was on their trays. So it wasn't really that bad was it? I still feel a little guilty, but that parfait was soooooooo good!

PS. I normally don't do this. I like to keep the peace.

That's not cutting, that's just being efficient! IMO, no harm, no foul. :)

I collect fastpasses and use them after the return time indicated. Not really a crime, actually a CM tip me to do this.

Nothing like the rush of using a Fp @ 10:30 at night to go on IJ. :rolleyes1 Sometimes, we even get Fps and give them away.

I do the same thing!

Yesterday I ordered a small pumpkin latte and there was no price listed, but I was dying for caffeine. I got to the register and the boy ringing us up starts getting flirty and asking about my hair, gave me a good laugh. Then he asked what I ordered, and being a quick-thinker I glanced at the menu and told him it was the cheapest item.

I have no idea how much I saved, but hey... they didn't list the price anywhere :confused3

Okay, I'll fess up. DH and I kind of cut to the very front of an over 2 hour line at TSM, but it was an accident. It was July 2008, (just a few weeks after TSM opened.) We had just walked up to the ride and were at the end of the line debating whether we really wanted to lose 2 hours of park time. I looked over towards the ride building and saw a little sign that I was pretty sure said "single rider" with no one there. I sent DH to investigate and saw him talking to a CM and then he motioned me over as the CM had told him the single rider line was open and we were welcome to get in it. We were the only ones in the single rider line. The INSTANT we got there another CM motioned for me to go ahead and get on a ride vehicle, then as I got on, he motioned for DH to get on too. We thought DH would be behind me on the back side of the vehicle, but he told him to get in beside me, so we got to ride together with ZERO wait. As we exited and walked outside, we got lots of dirty looks from the people that had been at the end of line outside, and had not moved that much from when we got on. (I think maybe they had put the two odd numbered riders together on one side of the vehicle instead of splitting DH and I up with each of them? All I know is it was fun and I was very thankful!!! I just attribute it to Disney Magic!!! We were only at DL/CA for 1 day while I was on a business trip to CA)

That's not cutting. If I were waiting for pancakes I would have zero problem with you doing it.

And if you eat at Tomorrowland Terrace, it's the way it works there, too. If you don't want pasta, just go to the salad or pizza line. Even though it LOOKS like all one line, the CMs will definitely tell you it is not.

The CM let you do it, don't worry. You saw the line, you went to it, you didn't *expect* to be seated with your hubby... Probably the people in the regular line were just being slow about going forward, and they were trying to be efficient!

When I take a bite of every treat one of my kids buys, I call it "quality control" and tell them it is my way of keeping them safe. Truth be told, I never really questioned the quality.;)

Last visit my daughter (DD18) got sick and it was our first holiday without her mother who had to work...

Went to DL cust relations and a lovely lady there calmed her down, told us the best hospital to go to and was a standin mum for her...

Well 5 hours in an ER waiting room later we got back to DL late afternoon... She was there when we got back and gave us an Assistance pass for the rest of our stay as my daughters issue meant it was hard to stay in lines for very long...

My confession was we were still using the pass 5 days later when she was recovered enough for us not to really need it anymore... But we couldn't help ourselves, we had got used to the walk on to any ride...

We call it a parent tax. Works for everything.

The first time I ever went to DL (about nine years ago or so), we saw that there was a long line for HM -- around 30 minutes. I asked a CM about how long the wait might be. She told me and my friend to go to the exit and tell the CM at the door that we were with a wheelchair. We got right in :-). It was a great first trip to DL and we had a fantastic time. But then we always do :-).
