Disneyland College Program

I have been reading up on the Disney College Program at Disneyland in Anaheim. There isn't much information about it. I have mostly been finding discussions for the program at WDW. I am from Austin, Texas and I am really interested in doing this program in the Spring of 2008. I was wondering if anyone had any information or suggestions about where most of the students live that are in this program. Is there a specific place Disneyland has those specific students stay? Or do they have to accomodate themselves?

I actually did the program in Florida, but I did go to a presentation about the Disneyland program. I saw the presentation about a year ago, so I don't really remember it. But I do think that you have to provide your own housing. The program in Florida was awesome though. I had the best time and met so many different people. I would think the Disneyland one would be pretty similar. I would suggest that you look at the Florida program also. I actually live in Southern California and chose to go to Florida. I loved it and it goes by a lot faster than you would think.

Do you have a Disney Store near you? I remember when I worked at the one that used to be at The Tacoma Mall, there was a big poster, etc, with info on it in our workroom. A lot of young people choose to work at the Disney Store, so that's a natural place for them to advertise their program. Here in Washington state, they were advertising some kind of info meeting coming up the following January, so I'm sure they must be one accessible to you. You just have to find where and when it is.

I will look and see if I can find anything. I just know that Disney looks for the young college students, as they need so many cast members for so many different jobs in DL and WDW. It'd be the perfect place to work on summer break, etc, you know?

My DS just applied and was going through the interview process when he asked about house he was told that you have to provide your own and the housing around DL was on average 1000.00 a month. He is now looking into WDW as they have apartment living right there and the payment comes out of your check each month. He watched to presentation on line then you get a number to call and fill out the app, send it in and set up a phone interview. I think for the education as well as the experience your better bet is WDW.

Thank you guys so much! I really would prefer to go to California, I used to live there and I kind of miss it. But since the program sounds a lot better at Florida, I think I may consider going there instead!
