Seems like it's impossible to find a decent cup of coffee in the parks. When I first walked into one of the coffee shops and found fresh beans and real looking baristas, I thought - GREAT! Better coffee than the cr*p breakfast at my hotel! WRONG! Weak, disgusting, brown warm water.

What gives?:confused3

My trick: bring along some Starbucks Via packets and ask for hot water.

Ha ha - I did do that for the hotel, but I didn't think of doing it while in the park because of the fantastic looking coffee shops!

I am a BIG fan of VIA!

Try the Häagen-Dazs store in DTD - they serve Peet's coffee.

Nescrapé is the worst. Sure wish DLR would change vendors already. Surely they've gotten enough complaints.

How funny, since Häagen-Dazs is owned by Nestlé (at least in the US), who makes Nescafé!

Good to know though... I do like me some Peet's.

Our last trip we got our coffee at Compass Books and Cafe. We loved it. I had hoped to try the coffee at La Brea Bakery, but we always seemed to hit the lineups.

I feel your pain. DLR coffee weather from hotels or parks, it's probably one of the worst I have tasted.:sad2:

I always bring my mini coffee maker & my own coffee. I make a stop at a close store for the creamer. Mamma needs her coffee in the morning ;)

I've heard that The Market House sells coffee that is Disney's Special Blend...supposedly the only place in the park that sells it. It's on my list to try on our upcoming trip. Oh...and it's free refills if you keep your receipt. I had the Nescafe last trip...never again!

It has been a few years, but I seem to remember good coffee at Ralph Brennan's- with the bonus of beignets! :)

Best coffee we found in the parks was at the French Market in NOS...still was only the best in the park by far better than Nescafe

Compass Cafe right in front of ESPN Zone had really good coffee with Krispy Kreme Donuts!! :cloud9:

Also, the kiosk in front of the World of Disney serves Starbucks coffee! :thumbsup2

Totally, 100% agree!

I really dislike the coffee in the parks. We also bring VIA with us.....HoJo's has pretty good coffee in its Keurig machines...but everyone will say, go here, go there...and it all pretty much is brown yuk in my estimation.

When I cannot take it anymore, I make my DH take me to Starbucks. I know some don't like them, but hey I'm a Seattle girl and it is what I LIKE.

My thinking is, I pretty much like/love everything else at DLR, it is my one dislike. I can live with that.

Nescafe:sick: is also served thru out Disney World. I think the last time I remember the coffee being good was back in 2000. 11 yrs of Nescafe:mad:

Unfortunately it's not any better in WDW either! Even though I'm a West Coaster I usually travel to WDW. I once (not kidding) bought an espresso machine at Goodwill and took it with me. Ahhhhhhhhh...that was a good trip! :lmao:

Don't get me started on the horrible Nescafe that they serve throughout DL. Why Disneyland, why? :confused3
We usually head over to La Brea Bakery in DTD where they serve Starbucks, but it would be sooo nice to get some good coffee in the park.

:rotfl2:

We went to Trex at WDW DTD for lunch yesterday and I ordered a cup of coffee because they aren't owned by Disney. NOPE- same awful stuff!! Good to know I need to bring my own for DL! Unreal- Disney could make some money if they would serve something better!

Yes, they have a "Special Blend". But blend of what? :confused3 Sewer water and mud? It is just as yucky as it ever was. For a good cup we go to DTD or do without. DH still gets some at Market sometimes but I can't stand it. We just bought a Keurig mini and will bring that to CCI with us to at least get a good cup in the morning. Unfortunately, about the only thing I don't like about CCI is the coffee.

Sadness about the "Special Blend"...but I guess it will save me some $...I will just make some at our hotel. Thanks for the heads up!
