Does anyone know why Disneyland is closing at 6:00 pm on February 7th? We are going that week and I would like to know if there is something going on that I need to be aware of! Thanks so much!

I will also be there Feb 7, and I know they close early ocassionally for special events, but usually they open an hour or 2 earlier to compensate. They are only opening at 10 that day, so I am really bummed. And CA is not staying open any later either. Everyone will head to CA that evening. It will be slammed. With a short trip, it really bums me out!!

I guess it's a Magic Morning or whatever so that will help and I was happy to see that the hours are normal again on the 8th. I think that will make it a good night to leave the park early and go eat somewhere nice offsite!

I'm bumping this. I am curious why they are closing early, but not opening early. I know someone on here will know what the event is.

This is a huge longshot, but could it be closing early to give a tour of the new entrance and cars land to investors and stuff? I know that the offical opening is not set until summer, but from looking at pictures online that were taking in the past week, it seems like they are really starting to get the final touchs up.

The main road in cars land was getting its lights put up on the light posts. Neon signs were going up on the buildings. The only thing that doesn't seem finished are the cones. Maybe they are planning a little "Thank you for the money" party to show off everything? I know, its a long shot, but I am hoping that cars land opens sooner rather than later in the summer :cool1:

The investors are simply Disney shareholders. They don't get perks like early previews of attractions. But why close DL early for something happening in DCA? It's most likely a private party.

It could be for media.
