Disneyland Castle

It would be nice but I have my doubt based on nothing happening yet and based on how long NFL, and avatar are taking.

I'd be with you except for two factors.
1) Like we talked about in a different thread these plans take a while to bring a harvest. As a new CEO will be taking over (please let it Rasulo with his extensive P&R background) they're going to want to make bold bets to keep the company growing. They have to get started early for that to happen.
2) I know people around here are cynics (myself included) but I believe the executives at TDO know Pixar/SW Lands are simply not the right way to celebrate the 50th of MK. They are cool projects but the 50th without an MK addition would be a travesty. At the very least they'll put it through some serious renovations.

Wildcards-
If Tomorrowland Movie does well they could potentially fastback an E-Ticket for that park related to the movie.
Avatarland Bombs and Disney World attendance remains flat. Emergency investment in the tried and true MK would solve a lot of problems.

I'm gonna go out on a limb based on other things I've read and say it won't be either Staggs or rasulo as the next CEO.

TDO doesn't make the large expansion decisions Glendale does. TDO will probably have new leadership by that time as well George K and Phil Holmes are at the end of their career.

I'm interested to see what tomorrowland brings to the table.

That'd be radical. Those two would be ticked... I'll wait and see but I'm just having hard time believing after all those years he would do that to them. Of course, Iger has surprised us before...

I agree partially, Burbank does end up giving final approval but TDO can raise heck about they want. George successfully turned around Disneyland, he has clout and can get what he wants. I think we'd be surprised about how many ideas likely came from the guys running the place in Orlando. NFL actually seems like something that started below and went up. Think for a second, lots of meet and greets, high capacity rides, and wide open pathways. Sounds like a wishlist to me. And not one that was come up with in Glendale.

I know, I'm hoping it's a great movie. It could be a great new franchise and excuse to fix that area of the park. The teaser looks promising.
