DisneyLAND camping

Yep, Denise hit it on the head. The close ones to DL are parking lots. Here is a link from these boards on camping locations. http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/campsites.htm

We went to DL in January 2010 and stayed in Anaheim Harbor RV Resort and it literally was a parking lot. Just a large asphalt area lined off with a 2 foot area of grass around the edge of the campground. Pups had a difficult time with that because all the traffic going by tended to interupt their "business" and concentration. The spots are so narrow that we had to reserve a double inorder to get our slides and awning out. Tracking in the asphalt particles was a mess and I'm not sure we will go back there. We are going to DL again in January 2012 and we are still trying to decide where to stay. This one was the closest and you could walk but after a day in the park, hm-m-m-m, not sure I would want to. There was a public bus that came every 20 minutes in the morning and evening but during the day they combined routes so it was a much longer wait and longer route to get back to your campsite. However, if you are only going there for a few days to see DL and then move on, I would recommend it. Just keep in mind, if you have kids or pets, they won't be too happy here. There is absolutely nothing for kids to do.

Canyon River is probably the best park because it is truly a campground. However, we don't tow our vehicle when we head out West so it would be difficult to get to DL from there without a car.

Hope this helps.
