How much in advance really is it possible to book themepark reservations for Disneyland???

Is it 180 days in prior of arrival or just like my agent wrote me 120 days prior. Since I am confused with the information out where it is stated sometimes 180 days and rarely 120 days as well.????

Will see it this weekend on Saturday or Sunday if I can book them or if not I guess it will be the 120 days but on the Homepage it isn´t any information. Why can´t Disney provide with more detailed information on their Homepage. Why we always have to dig out so hardly???? :confused3

Has Disney extended it from 120 to 180 some few times ago, I think some news like that maybe were happened some time ago or did I just think I have witnessed or believed to have seen heard about it???

Right now when I look at the calendar it appears to be 180 days. That is what I see online when I search for the answer to the question. Are there particular dates you are trying to reserve?

(This is in reference to regular park tickets, not Magic Keys / Annual Passes)

mid September but on the phone App it spotted 182 days so maybe at the Weekend it may will be able. I think til 2023 it may was 120 days but than the extended it to 180 days but maybe the shortened it lately again not sure will see.

But I am hoping if not that it will be possible around mid May and there will be like she mentioned still enough possible reservations left.

Even when I wish I could do them sooner than later and worry about not catching some not sure how popular and spreaded the interests will be since Halloween Season and other strange things appearing as well.

But I am having a vacation package maybe the 180 is for tickets only and Vacation Packages may have to wait til the 120 days Mark???

if is extremely rare to see any days sell out at even a few weeks ahead of time. I wouldn’t stress about it. If you can make your reservations a month in advance, you have basically zero chance of not being able to make it.

It is 180 days out, one day at a time, for regular theme park reservations.

60 days out, one day at a time, for dinning reservations.

We are so spoiled usually dealing with WDW and getting to do length of stay.

A lot of WDW people get confused not being able to book length of trip on Day 60. Once upon a time you could only make dining reservations in person day of. I remember going to Blue Bayou in the morning to make our reservation for the day.

I remember those days. So what did you get done during Rope Drop? I secured a lunch reservation for the Blue Bayou :)

I remember rope dropping as a kid. Back then, the rope was on Main Street, just past the flag pole. We also had our ticket books in hand so queues were very different.
I preferred when rope drop was at the end of Main Street not at the hub as it is now. I assume they moved it because it got too popular and everyone didn't fit on Main Street anymore.

I remember my cousin telling me that they let you in to the parks 30 minutes before the park opened. I begged my mom to have us go early. So we did and didn't understand the big deal. Of course back then we also were able to do most all the rides/attractions in a single day.

Rope drop wasn't as big of a thing back then.
Yes I realize that. We lived about 35 minutes away and would still try and rope drop as we didn't buy APs even though we were local.

Our family always wanted to eat at the Blue Bayou every trip and have the chicken dinner when going to Knott's

thanks so far but it seems that I am not the only one who is confused about it. I am on-site Hotel Guest having a Vacation Package so I am not sure if there are differences between Room Only or Tickets only Guests besides with on-site vacation package guests.

Whenever I can book those Themepark Reservations I will be able to do them all at once not day by day and with luck maybe today in few hours precisely around 90+mins. since bookings open always 6 a.m. PT and 9 a.m. EST. So will see if I by than can book them if not I am guessing it is more likely the 120 days prior mark.

Maybe you can only book the reservations for tickets only in 180 days but with part of a package on site vacation package it would be shortened to just 120 days ahead???? I will see it soon.

But thanks (not for the confusing statements :=) because dining will also be possible for the whole trip just like it was with WDW before 60 days ahead even when it could be possible that some Restaurants aren´t available on the 60th mark but a day later or so).

Have to look for LL MP how to handle that have to wait til I arrive on US soil before I may could book my first one. Not sure if I would even needed it but have done it for the including Photopass pics anyways and just for case who knows how crowded it will be???

I hope the annoying weekend stuff that is forced right into my weekend will not be too distracting wish they would have done this weekend a weekend before or after not during my first visit but will focused on me and the 70th Celebration and Halloween will be enough distraction as well.

30 minutes earlier are regularly mostly only on-site hotel guests of Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel that getting that perk of enter the parks 30 minutes earlier than the 8 a.m. openings.

But not sure if it is almost a farce of Disney since there isn´t much open at that early mark at least in DCA when I checked it last year with the app and waiting times almost nothing was open til regular opening hours some even just opened in between those 30 minutes almost at the end of that time kinda lame.

@disneychrista was referring to rope drop where you are able to enter into the park but then are held from visiting attractions. At some point the cast members will allow people to go to the attractions and is generally a little earlier than the posted opening time.

The hotel guests used to be able to get a full hour but they shortened it to 30 minutes now. We have taken some great pictures with the parks pretty empty at that point.

Ah okay but with that when can on-site guests enter or is it just the difference that as onsite guest you can go and ride before those rope droppers sometimes are let join the party??? when should you be at the gate for early entry around which time would be good.

Technically 7:30 you are allowed but with the three hotels guests which time is the best to get in line for the OG at least since I will have entry to DCA through GCH entry path.

The onsite guest will be able to show their hotel key and get in to visit the attractions.
It has been awhile since I have stayed onsite so I'm not sure the exact time to get in early. Remember if you are staying one night you will have the early entry for checkin and check out days.

Also you will have to pay attention to which park will have the early entry when you make your park reservations. If you want to take advantage of that perk you don't want to reserve DL if it is DCA's day and vice versa.

Yeah I am a heavy planner already know which time when early magic happens have to know since must know which park I have to do park reservations for. Have 5 nights 5 days park hopper so til 11 a.m. will be able to hop around but will do it only on the weekend.

Since both parks open at 8:00 a.m it is always 7:30 a.m. when you will be able to visit one park for that and hop after 11:00 a.m. to the other one.

The sad part is Tues Thurs and Sund oogie boogie halloween takes over DCA means would have to leave the park around 6 p.m. but will do the park hop anyways around 11 a.m. to enjoy the OG one til the end what seems thankfully be always til midnight during my days.

I may could even hop after DCA closes on Monday doing almost 2 hours in the OG but maybe will just go into my room since I will see it the whole day on Tuesday from 07:30 early entry til midnight.

More important will be that all the rides hopefully are open and will be running without any refurbs have to catch it´s a small world pretty soon since it could get into refurb mid september changing it for the holidays so have to catch that before they will do it as well as Haunted mansion but that could be already have changed into the halloween xmas version at that time than.

Big TM Mark Twain, Jungle Cruise, Indy, The Railroad, The Monorail, Matterhorn, Tiana´s Bayou Adventure and so on maybe even the Columbia as well those hopefully will be open and so on and on.
