Hello! This is my first post. My boyfriend and I are headed to Disneyland for my 25th birthday (may 22, we will be there for 3 days! :) We both have only been to DL once (when we were little kids), so its basically going to be like our first time. Does DL offer any special ways to celebrate birthday's for adults, like cakes etc.? From what I saw online, it looks like most of the birthday stuff is geared towards children. Also, here is our itinerary right now. If anyone has any restaurant suggestions or can think of something that we should try to squeeze in, please let me know! :) :) We want the trip to be really fun and romantic.

May 19 = Universal Studios
May 20 = Newport Beach
May 21 = DL/CA
May 22 = DL/CA (I am going to may a reservation this week for the Blue Bayou)
May 23 = DL/CA

Thank you!

Of course ask for your birthday button. If you are staying on property you can get this at the hotel check-in, or at the ticket booths in the Esplande, or City Hall. If you go to a sit down meal make sure and tell your server that it is your birthday. Most restaurants will send over the servers with a dessert type treat and sing to you. :tink:

I think you might be able to order a birthday cake, although I'm not sure about this. You could call Disney Dining and find out. I know they have some kind of cupcake party thing that you can do as well.

Happy Birthday early! That's my daughter's B-day, too :goodvibes Have a great time on your trip!

I took my mom to celebrate her 62nd birthday last year.
She is a big kid and wore her bday button everyday of our trip.

My favorite memory was Goofy dancing with her in Toontown.

Her perma-smile was in all the pictures.

Enjoy!

Have a wonderful trip

edit to add: we didn't love Blue Bayou (poor server), but loved Hook's Point at DLR

Happy Birthday! (A tad bit early, but that is fine :) )

Most definitely don't forget to ask for your birthday button and if I am remembering correctly, there are anniversary buttons too. So I would see about those as well. Since it is like an anniversary celebration too, because you have not been to Disneyland for a long time.
The Blue Bayou is my most favorite restaurant. You can make a p.s. 60 days out. Be sure to request a waterside table. Arrive at least 20 minutes early
to request such, before your actual p.s. appointment.
Their chocolate mint doubloons are very tasty, and are made fresh at Disneyland.
I believe that really anything that is available as a giftie for birthdays for children are also available for adults, it would just be a matter of what suits you. I like the pirates and the princess gift boxes, I believe they go by a different name, but that is what I call them. ;) Anyway..... have a blast at the land..... and don't forget to take a wild ride for me with those wickedly awesome bad boy pirates. Then saunter on over to the most awesome antebellum mansion, that is said to be haunted....... oh my!
Do not forget to visit Indy as well. Just make sure to hold on to your gear, for you may lose it in one of the dark caverns. And protect your hair, because sometimes bats will fly right in it. One lady when I was going on expedition last year, had not one but two bats not only fly into her hair, but they seemed to enjoy being there, before then pulling some of it out, so as to make a little nest or something. I nearly escaped by the inch of my head the same fate. he he! Seriously!....
Then trot on over to the most enchanted of all places that being the enchanted Tiki Room, where Jose and his most melodic, and colorful feathered friends, flowers, and magical Tiki's will perform for you their wonderful and heart warming renditions of their top musical selections. Whatever you do though, do not I repeat do not allow Jose to sip too much of your Dole float. For the last time that happened, there was a delay in the show, because Jose went flying around like a loony toon then flew all around Adventure land, disappearing off into the horizon. Well finally after about hour or so, he came back after descending from his sugar high! Thank goodness! Also he likes to snack like no ones business, so therefore do not sit too closely to him. Otherwise, there will be other business to contend with.
I also highly recommend going on safari aboard the jungle cruise. Just make certain to not lose your hat or your head for that matter, or both! For there are head hunters that live in parts of those rather unchartered waters. And no matter how cute those little fish may appear to be swimming and jumping about in those mysterious rivers, do not lean over the boat to pet them. Otherwise.... automatic discount on a manicure!....

Have a magical day! :)

Wow! Thank you everyone for the wonderful advise and happy birthday wishes! My birthday is kind of an anniversary for us too. I don't think I have been as excited about anything like this in a LONG time. If anyone is going to be there over the weekend of May 19th through the 23, stop and say "hi". We will be the young couple skipping full speed through the park with GIANT smiles on our faces :) :) You won't be able to miss us. lol!
