Hi!

Due to back and knee damage, I cannot ride many of the "thrill" rides at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure; however, I would like to see the queues that lead up to the adventures.

Do the following rides have chicken exits?

Star Tours
Indiana Jones
Space Mountain
Tower of Terror

Thank you.

Not sure about the first three (Star Tours and Indy are no problem for me and Space Mountain was under refurb when I was there in 2004) but I know that ToT does.

I wrote the following in a post a few days ago when someone asked specifically about a chicken exit at ToT...

First day in DCA I didn't want to go on it (I was fine until we got to the loading area but then I just couldn't do it) so queued up but exited as the rest of my party rode it. Because you have to walk through two sets of doors to get into their lifts, (when you stand on your number you go through one set and are in a corridor which you later walk down again after exiting the ride) you can just go through the first set and walk to the left (and down the stairs if you're upstairs) then exit into the on-ride picture viewing area and ride shop.

So you're fine with ToT. :thumbsup2 Everyone else should be able to help you out with the other rides though. They must all have chicken exits.

Yep...They all do! On Star Tours you just tell them you aren't riding, so they don't count you, and you walk straight through the simulator and wait where everyone exits.

Oh yeah I've seen them do that. Exactly what they do on Wild Arctic at SeaWorld - pretty much the same ride that's why. Every ride must do if you think about it. Because they can't force you to ride. And not everyone wants to wait on their own for an hour or so while other people ride.

Yes they do.

They have several exits on Space Mountain. 1 before you enter the spaceship area, 1 on the upper level of the space ship area and 1 to the left of where they load you. If you want to wait all the way until they load you, just tell the CM you want to exit and they will direct you to the door.

On Indiana Jones, they don't have any exit doors once you can see the cars, but you can either get into the right line and once you reach the top of the stairs, hop over the rope to the exit area (the other side is where people exiting will be walking) or you can wait to you get to the bottom of the stairs and tell the CM you won't be riding and they will direct you accross the row of seats in the car and you can exit.

I hate the queue for Indy. I mean I LOVE it (the theming is excellent!!) but the amount of times I've seen people who've just exited jump over and join the queue inside the caves... :rolleyes2

It'd have to be a real emergency for me to ever use one of those exits. I often wait a long time to get on those rides and don't want to miss them! One time while waiting for Soarin', I had to use the restroom real bad. We didn't even get assigned to one of the three sections yet and I knew if the line didn't hurry, I was going to have a problem. I ended up sitting through the ride in slight pain and then rushing off of it once it was over. I hope I never have to go through that again.
