Are these two parks next to each other? I am going to California and I have an afternoon free so I want to know if heading to both parks are do-able

The entrances are less than 100 yards away from each other, I'd say.

There's no way you'll make a dent in both parks in one day, but if you get there at rope drop, plan your day and use fast passes, you can manage a decent amount.

They are right next to each other so it doesnt take long to "hop" over. But just for an afternoon there is no way to do both unless you just MUST do ride A at Disneyland and ride B at Cal adventure and not much else. Plus you pay more to access both vs just one.

Pick one and have fun!

Better yet, try to at least get a full day of it. :)

Thanks. Such a decision. I have been to dl in the early 90s. I have been going through the rides and shows list and debating where I would have more fun at. I miss mr toads wild ride (wdw is a lot closer to me) so it would be nice to go on that again Decisions, decisions.

I vote for Disneyland. Calfiornia Adventure is nice, but if you only have time for one park then make it Disneyland.
:thumbsup2

I think I would do Disneyland. That's because I was just making the list of things I want to do in both parks next Wednesday and there is way more I'm interested in at Disneyland.

And I love, love Disneylands Fantasmic. It's so much better than WDW's. As you can see from my signature, I normally go to WDW.

I'm going to be there next week and I'm disappointed that Fantasmic isn't happening the one and only day I'll be in Disneyland. And the hours are short too. Blech. Wonder what's up with that.

How is fantasmic different? Now you are making me lean more towards Disneyland.

yes they are very close to one another, like less them 50 feet apart. however, with all the new changes at DCA it's impossible IMO to do both parks in one day. Back before DCA had the new changes you could easily do both in one day. :)

Thanks for all the advice. Went to dl yesterday afternoon/evening and had fun. Ate in a place in New Orleans square(?). Very good. Now onto the countdown to wdw in August.
