I will be on a buisness trip to southern CA for two weeks, So I am taking my DW & DS along. We are planing to spend 1 day at Disneyland. We are getting free tickets to the park, because my DW has family in the area an they know someone who works there. I do not know if these tickets include California Adventure.
I have never thought for a minute that I would be going to Disneyland. When I heard we were getting free tickets, I couldn't pass it up.
So with only one day at the park, are there any 'Must Sees'?
I don't know anything about Disneyland.
I heard it is similar to Magic Kingdom in Disney World.

Thanks in advance

We have the following must see's:

Space Mountain
Indiana Jones
Big Thunder Mountain RR
Matterhorn Bobsleds
Pirates of the Caribbean

Fantasmic

My kids are teenage now so we do not do anything in Fantasyland..although I miss the Tea cups ride. It kind of depends on how old your DS is as to what must see rides he will enjoy.

Cast Member sign-ins are park hoppers (I assume you're getting signed in). Since Pirates goes down for refrub this Monday, you can take that one off the must-see list. It would help to know what the date is because I don't know if fireworks or Fantasmic are showing on your date w/o that, but if they are, both are must sees.

We will be there on Saturday March 11, I believe we are getting signed in. Because I was told we had to be there first thing in the morning to be let in.

Ok, put Haunted Mansion on the must see list--it reopens on the 11th. Definetely see Fantasmic and the fireworks. The 50th parade is good and if you can work it in, do so. I would also put Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, & Buzz Lightyear on the must see list in DL. If you do decide to park hop (just know you can't do it all in one day), add Soarin' over CA, Tower of Terror, CA Screamin', and Monsters Inc to the list.

For a one day trip I recomend Ridemax

I cannot post the link as I don't have enough posts

Start with Space Mountain because it will have the longest lines other then Indiana. All the rest you can do at some point during the day. If you want lunch and don't want to spend a lot of time you can eat at the Pizza Port next to Space mountain. Have a nice day.

I loved the Storybook Canal Boats and the Matterhorn.
