We are planning our trip to Disney in [month removed by moderator]. We are planning on staying [dates removed my moderator]. There are 5 (2A, 3ch) BUT we would like to bring Grandma. We want to stay at Polynesian or BLT if possible. Our current AAA quote is about $1795/pp including dining plus, park hopper w water parks. Am interested in all options to bring Grandma and keeping the pp cost about the same. I appeciate any suggestions. My children just love when Grandma joins us - and Grandma would live in Disney if she could! I just hate to leave her home!

I am not sure I understand exactly what you are asking for?

If you are trying to lower costs to cover the extra person then I would certainly suggest going to the basic or regular dining plan or just paying OOP for meals, depending on what types of meals you all like to have. You can also drop the hopper and the plus part of your tickets unless you really plan to go to the Water Parks and hop from one park to another a lot. For a standard type of room you would need 2 rooms, or it sounds like a DVC location would work best. You can take a look at our Rent/Trade boards for information on renting points. If you get one with a kitchen area you can prepare some of the meals there so you aren't paying so much for the Dining plan. Also be sure you aren't getting a price for an upgraded room type. If you want to keep the cost lower then just a standard room may help that.

You could also look at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. They aren't deluxe resorts but do have the ability to have more people in them. And also have kitchens.

If you are working with a AAA Travel Agent then they should be able to assist you in different options that might work for your family. If they can't then you may need to get a different agent-- a good agent certainly should be able to.

I should have been more clear. I am looking to see if I can rent points at BLT or maybe Boardwalk to allow a six person to join us without it costing my family about $300 extra per person. I have never booked a Disney trip by renting points. am I able to obtain a quote?:surfweb

Okay, that makes more sense. Please take a look at our DVC Rent Trade and information boards to learn about renting points.

Because that is what you are asking about I will edit your first post to remove your specific dates so that it conforms with our guidelines that all specific DVC points discussion must be on the Rent Trade boards.
