Disneybiggdogg Family Vacation 6-10-03 To 6-15-03 Part 1

Tues June 10-
Left home @ 11am and drove to WDW arriving @ 2:30pm to ASMu. Dropped all the bags in the room and took off to pool until SIL got there. Left pool at about 7pm and went to dinner to a restaurant on 192 we go to every time we go. It is an all you can eat buffett w/ lobster and DW looks forward to this every time.

Wed June 11- MK
Breakfast in the room and off to MK for the 9am opening. Head strait to tomorrowland and ride SM w/ baby swap and get fast pass. After the kids ride four times(BIL & SIL do not ride and we use their FP) we move to Buzz, do AE and racetrack. We do an early lunch in the restaurant in front of racetrack. While everyone is eating lunch I walk and get FP in Splash Mt. We go to frontierland and ride BTMRR,FP is broken and both lines are working 15 minute wait. We do pirates and come back to do FP @ splash mountain. Walk to HM and then did SM one last time with a baby swap we had left. We took the bus to DTD after transfering @ Port Orleans. We have dinner @ Bongo's ( I will review the restaurants on that board) and got back to room about 10am. After kids went to sleep I hit the pool to relax.

Thurs June 12- MGM
Slept in a bit, had light breakfast in room and headed to MGM. Got to park @ 10:30am and went ang got FP @ RNRC. Did baby swap @ ToT and headed back to RNRC to baby swap the FP (boy my older kids love the baby swap deal). We did lunch at the food court in this area. Went to GMR, I do not know what the refurb was for but everything looked the same. Star wars next, no line so we rode it twice, and Indiana Jones. Went back to room to clean up and head to AK to have dinner @ Boma's. The kids did not want to eat dinner there so we ordered them a pizza in the room while we changed.

Friday June 13-AK/EPCOT
Early rise w/ breakfast in room. Got to AK when it opened @ 8am and did Safari, Bug, Dinosaur w/ baby swap and FP, Primevil Whirl, and the boneyard. I had a chance to win some stuffed animals for the kids. While the kids played at the boneyard I walked over and got FP @ Kali. Went to Rainforest Cafe for lunch and 15 mo old loved the scene. After lunch went to Kali did the FP baby swap and headed to Lion King which the kids love. Got to Epcot about 2pm. Did spaceship Earth and the Coca Cola zone, tricked wife with Beverly. Headed to Body Wars and Cranium Command. Went by MS but no luck. Headed to Test Track and did baby swap twice and single ride line twice. Headed to WS and had some margarita's in Mexico. The kids did the kidcot thing . We had PS @ Teppanyaki @ 6pm. After dinner continued the tour of the worlds, DW had a desert crepe in France and DS got chosen by one of the street performers for the show, he love it. Went back to the resort and relaxed in the pool from 9:30 to 11:30 w/ the entire family.

Will do the last 2 days next week.

DBD - did you just use the regular lines for baby swap? We'll be taking 5 mos old granddaughter on next trip and will need to baby swap most rides (haven't had to baby swap in 25 years - sure it's changed since then!!)- your post sounds like you had a baby swap pass or something (?).

Yeah...where is that all you can eat lobster place?...what is the name?

The all you can eat lobster place is on 192 in the Holiday Inn Nikki Suites in their restaurant Angel's. We have been going there on our yearly visit for years. If you go for the early bird between 6-8pm it is about $7 less per person.

At the All-star I slept w/ my DS and my wife slept w/ DD and the 15 month old. We had no problem w/ the sleeping arrangements.

bjakmom we usually do the baby swap on almost all rides. On the ones that have FP we do the baby swap, which usually have shorter lines. If it is a non FP ride that the baby can not ride, which there aren't many, then we make the line. Enjoy and do not let the baby become a burden. If there are other children in the group they will love the baby swap since they ride the ride twice.
