Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Thinking of booking YES and free dining for Feb 2012, question is, I know I have to buy at least 2 day tickets to get free dining. Will I be able to get actual tickets for these 2 day tickets to use for a future trip or are they loaded onto your hotel room key card? I haven't done a package deal in awhile, but I thought I saw guests using their key cards as tickets last time I was there.

Your free DDP tickets will be on your key cards. You can save them for another trip if you want to. You used to be able to get them removed from your key (at resort concierge) and put onto separate tickets to save, but I don't know if they'll still do that or not.

I see they already have 2012 dates thru Dec up! We weren't able to go to one this year at WDW, but I want to sign DS up for one at DLR next year when we go.

Disney's World of Physics: Energy & Waves is for 8-11 and my son will be just 1 month shy of his 8th birthday. Do you think this will be okay? I know he'd love that one.

Also, do you have to pay now? What if you need to cancel? This is over a year away! And if I don't see the ticket options we want, like 6 day hoppers, do I just call instead?

Is this for Disney LAND only or Disney WORLD as well?

So far it's only for Disneyland. The Disney World dates only go up to mid-February.

From what I have read here, you can have them remove the tickets from your KTTW cards and save for a future visit.

But we can't apply the value of those 2-day unused tickets when picking up YES tickets?

I have always had to pay for the tickets on the website at the time of purchase, so I don't think that's an option.

No your regular tickets value cannot be applied to the purchase price of YES Tickets. And YES tickets are charged to your credit card at time of registration.

So 2 day unused tickets would have to be saved for use on a future trip.

I want to book a condo for vacation in June 2012 soon. I just hope when June 2012 YES individual enrollment classes are offered later they happen to fall during our trip. I know the June 2010 individual enrollment dates were from June 14 - 29. Does anyone know the range of dates for June 2011?

what babysitting service?? i have a 2 yr old and they told me no disney resort will take baby under 4???i have alot of questions..but they told me i will get an email about 2 wks before explaining all....i hope..my son has crohns and not sure if he could do the full 3 hours..without some bathroom breaks...

I'm actually not sure, lol, we usually rent a house offsite so we would not be able to use this service, but I would call the resort bc my youngest dd is only 2 and she told me I could utilize the baby sitting service

I am sure someone has the exact dates, but I think the first class was June 15th. I am hoping for a class the week of June 10th next year.

This year, the first class of the summer was June 14, which was a Tuesday. I know because we originally planned on going June 5-10 and then had to extend it to the 14th so kids could do the class.

Just FYI...we were able to pick up our tickets at DisneyQuest at 10:45pm last night. Super easy. No problems.

Awesome news! Thanks for sharing. We won't arrive at a park until 7:30 or so on a January night, so we should still be fine getting our tickets.

My daughters yes class at epcot for 10/17 was cancelled...due to maintenance at the aquarium. They added new classes to accomodate. So now we are doing the animal kingdom class instead..I think she will love this one even more. It was either that or the everyday chemistry class for 9-15 yr olds..(she is only 8) but they would have made an exception bc of the cancellation. Did anyone else switch classes?

I think you will both be happy it was switched. Wild by Nature was hands down our favorite class we've taken these past 9 days. Several of the parents I talked with that chose the class at the aquarium were very disappointed with that one just the day before but very happy with the W.B.N. class we were in together the next day. I don't know if you are just doing Y.E.S. classes for the extra benefits for your kids or if you homeschool (many of us here this week do), but Sea World is where we are going to do that type of program, much more hands-on than the one at Epcot. HTH

It seems that we shoudl be able to pick them up at any ticket window.

We did the Synergy in Science class on 10/4 and my kids loved it! Picking up our tickets was very easy, we just went to a ticket window at Hollywood Studios around 6:00 pm on Saturday 10/1 and she didn't even bat an eyelash, got our tickets in a minute and headed into the park. Very easy, we were very happy with the whole experience.
