Disney Y.E.S. Program

This is the same class my boys (14 + 15) are taking Sept 7. Please post a quick review of what your guys thought. Also, how do you get into the MK that early? I was puzzled by the class starting at 7:15am too. TIA:)

I have 2 13yo girls going to this class on Sept 7 as well! On my email confirmation it stated no Disney transport is available and you must provide your own transportation (meeting at T&TC NOT MK). We will be at Wilderness Lodge so I guess we'll just get a cab to the T&TC. Even if it was a later time, we would have to take the boat to MK then monorail to the T&TC just to come back to the MK :confused3. Oh well!!

Just registered my 6yo daughter for the October 15 Synergy of Science class at Epcot. She'll be going with her dad. The whole trip is a surprise ;) She is going to love it!! :thumbsup2 Anyone else registered for this class/date?

There is a Making Waves class on Oct. 15th but no Synergy of Science class listed for that date. The only Synergy in Science classes listed around that time frame are on Oct 10 & 26th. (My boys would be interested in taking the Science class but it isn't offered during our dates - Oct 12-20.)

Thanks for your chime in ;) We are staying at Contemporary so I had planned for us to just walk over to MK. Guess we'll take a cab or will the monorail be running that early?:confused3

Yes, there's a Synergy in Science class on Oct. 15 for ages 6-11. I almost signed my daughter up for that but we decided on Wild by Nature on the 16th which is now full.

Thanks! It is really weird that on the first page of the class listings that class is not listed but when your start the enrollment process it is there! I'll have to check with the boys tonight to see if it something that they really want to do!

We are planning on purchasing YES tickets and we will be staying in the EPCOT area. Why are we not able to enter the park through IG for a class that meets at the front of the park? Is it b/c this class meets early? Will we be able to enter EPCOT thru IG at other times?? This just seems odd to me...:confused3

I haven't read early posts so maybe its changed.
But we had no issues entering thru IG this past Feb for our classes. I showed them our tickets and a print out (just in case) and that was that.
We did have to exit the park at the front and meet our group and re-enter w/our tickets.

It is so weird! On our class day it lists one class but then when I go to register there are 3 classes. :upsidedow

They didn't have too much to say. They were unhappy that the group was split in two and they were separated. They got to ride Buzz and then Space with the lights off and the lights on. DS said that he will never raise his hands up again after seeing it with the lights on, LOL

You can get into the TTC that early. We arrived close to 7, parked at the TTC and met the group there. The resort monorail is running that early. We rode over to MK around 7:20 and the group came over around 7:45. I don't know what you'd do if you don't have a car.

Thanks so much for the reply:) We are staying at CR so I guess we can take the resort monorail to TTC?

The registration form must be wonky - because we are definitely registered for that date. :thumbsup2 I noticed it when browsing the classes, too. It doesn't show up initially, but after you enter your arrival/departure dates it does show up.... :confused3

I am SO excited!! And I can't tell anybody....except my DISers ;)

Does anyone know if Disney typically offers YES classes the week after Thanksgiving? Trying to plan a trip for next year.

Thank you!
-Astrid

DS#2 wants to do the class so I am going to call tomorrow and try to add the class to our itinerary :thumbsup2 We had planned on doing Epcot that day anyway so DH & DS#1 can just meet us over there!

Historically, the classes have been offered January-February, and June-October.

Hi everyone! My son and daughter are signed up for classes on the 23rd and 24th of this month. I received my son's confirmation yesterday for his class on 7/23, but have not yet received the email confirmation for my DD's class on 7/24 (Captivating Moments). Has anyone else received their confirmation for that class? I am getting worried that maybe the class was cancelled, which would be awful, since she and I are so looking forward to the class.

Anyone got any news on that class? :confused3

I'm so glad I checked this thread. I signed up my DS and DD for the 7/24 Captivating Moments. A few days ago I got the confirmation for DS, but DD's name was not on it. Still have not received one for her. I even double-checked my registration confirmation that I received immediately after signing them up, and both kids names are on it. I guess I better call...

Nice! I hope your son gets to take it! How old is he? My husband would be happy to learn that other Steeler fans are in the group ;) I'll be hanging with my younger daughter at Epcot that morning, too princess:

Hmmm......I'm going to call in the morning. I'll post to let you know what I find out.

My 17 yr old daughter will be attending a 715am class at MK. We must drop her off at the Ttc but then we can't enter park ourselves until rope drop... Or at least that's my understanding. Has anyone had a class this early? If so, what did the others do while the kids attended the class? Is it possible to get/keep the kid's tickets so you could secure a fastpass for them (to be used after class) while they are still in their class? Just trying to figure out some possibilities...

You could make a breakfast ADR nearby -- 'Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's for characters, or Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon, The Wave, or Grand Floridian Cafe if you don't want characters.

If you wanted to hold onto her ticket, you'd probably have to follow the class to the park and get it from her after she went through the turnstiles. I'm not sure if that would be disruptive to the class or not. You could always ask the instructor when you signed her in, but then you wouldn't have an answer in advance. :scratchin
