Disney Y.E.S. Program

I bought our YES tickets last month but now we are wanting to add the water park option. Is it too late?

My son and his friend are going to the Properties of Motion class today at MK. I'll see if I can get any info out of them on how it goes(they are 17 and going alone). We have to meet at 7:15:crazy2:

Just wanted to let you know, if anyone wants the animation class for the younger kids I am canceling our class on Aug 28th. We had two slots. We are very sad that we can not go. :( My husband's mother was just put on hospice and a trip is not in the cards for us with her being sick. I am going to call later today and let them know.

Just a note, I picked up my YES tickets today and for the 8day PH premium, I was also told that my water park options would include miniature golf before 4pm. For us a nice change because we will never go to the WP and DQ 8 times.

Hi, my DD14, DNeice12 and I will be there in August. Are the actual Y.E.S. tickets the same as the regular ones? Can it be used for fastpasses? Thanks.

Yes-they are the tyvek/"paper" ones and can be used in fast pass machines.

We are planning on purchasing YES tickets and we will be staying in the EPCOT area. Why are we not able to enter the park through IG for a class that meets at the front of the park? Is it b/c this class meets early? Will we be able to enter EPCOT thru IG at other times?? This just seems odd to me...:confused3

I don't think the CMs have any lists of people in YES programs or tours to know who should or shouldn't be allowed to traverse through the park pre-opening - only those with ADRs that occur within the park.

I am going to walk over to the IG and ask about it the day before our class. I recently read a report here on the DIS from someone who said they WERE allowed to enter through the IG last month for their class. :confused3

So it is OK to go thru the IG if the park is open, but not OK when the program meets before park opening. Makes sense.

Thanks!

Pretty much...you wouldn't want to go through the IG to get to the front entrance anyways if you don't have a park hopper and what you are doing doesn't require entrance to Epcot (not all tours do, not sure about YES programs that meet at Epcot), as it will cost you a park day just to do it :)

As far as I know, all the YES classes at Epcot do require park admission. The morning classes meet at the front of the park, but then they go inside the park. The afternoon classes meet within the park (ours met near the fountain). :goodvibes

I figured that would be true (do all the classes take place within a park?) but I think there was at least one tour my in-laws did that met in front of Epcot that didn't require park admission at all - I think the one that tours the resorts on the holidays...it was almost 5 years ago though...

My family has participated in the yes program once before and attended the Wild By Nature class. I wrote a quick review here but I am sure it is long gone with all the other posts since. We loved it and the kids still talk about it till this day! Thanks Disney!

I am planning another short trip with friends feb 2013. Can anyone tell me when the yes program dates were for the 2012 year? I have searched for an old calender and can't find one anywhere. Was it for the whole month or just the first 2 weeks? I just need to have an idea so I can get an idea of prices for the room. I understand the exact dates won't be out until october-ish.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have the actual schedule, but we went the 2nd-3rd week of Feb and I remember there being classes the week before. Our class was on Feb 14th. It seem like they were available for the whole month if I remember correctly.

Thanks so much for your help. I was afraid no one would answer!

This is the same class my boys (14 + 15) are taking Sept 7. Please post a quick review of what your guys thought. Also, how do you get into the MK that early? I was puzzled by the class starting at 7:15am too. TIA:)

Just registered my 6yo daughter for the October 15 Synergy of Science class at Epcot. She'll be going with her dad. The whole trip is a surprise ;) She is going to love it!! :thumbsup2 Anyone else registered for this class/date?
