Me - 30 - a DLP addict since 2007
Fiancee - 23 - a DLP addict since 2000
Last time, February this year:
She said yes
This time, it's my 30th birthday present, all be it I've had wait since August, but the other half knows how much I love Christmas at DLP.
Staying at the Newport Bay Hotel from 18th to 20th, travelling premier standard from Ebbsfleet on the Eurostar.
Having far too much time on my hands, I've compiled a spreadsheet listing all the attractions at the 2 parks, colour-coded by the land/area they are in, and ordered by if we've done them before, queue time, how much I want to do them. Sad, I know, but organised.
Top of my list is Peter Pan's flight, which I've inexplicably missed for the previous 3 visits. We're also looking forward to:
Mickey's Winter Wonderland
Stitch Live
Fantilusion
Snow White & the 7 Dwarves
and walking down Main Street in the snow, with a cup of hot chocolate in a Disney mug (we have to get one every time we go)
We will be having breakfast in the hotel or the park, a packed lunch for all days, but struggling to decide where to have dinner on Friday and Saturday. We did Cafe Mickey in February, so we rule that out. Also ruled out as we've been before are: Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe and Annette's.
DF wants to start packing already, which I have only encouraged by retrieving the suitcases from the loft
Unfortunately, we're leaving our little boy at home (with his grandparents, not on his own), as at 5 months, we thought he's a little too young to be out in the cold all day, plus he sleeps from 4 in the afternoon until the next morning! He's going to get spoiled absolutely rotten though, with the bulk of our money being set aside for his first Christmas presents (things like this). We saw a nice little leather coat when we went in February, but we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl, so didn't get it. If I find it again, it's coming home with us this time.
All in all, we're both incredibly excited as we said we wouldn't make any more trips until DS was 3 or 4. She's a sneaky one, my DF
