im a newbie here on DIS so any tips are more than welcome!!

ok so i think i might be a little more excited about planning this trip than the hubby....but i thought id start this new thread....anything and everything involved in driving (18hr trek with stay over at the midway point) with 3 kids, mine will be (7yrs, 4yrs, 1yr).....coming up with travel entertainment ideas plus any "unknown" extras while at disney for three boys!! :dance3:

thanks everyone who might have some tips!! im really liking this forum from what ive seen so far!! :cloud9:

I feel for you. We're flying cause we live about that far away. For traveling I'd say those DVD players are worth the price. My kid uses his at home all the time not just traveling. Also at Walmart you can buy these disney travel packs I think by crayola and they come with an activity book a marker and stickers. The four and seven year old might like them.

I always slept as a kid. If its possible and if you could do it maybe drive through the night so they just sleep most of the way.

I wish I had more for you but congrats on your trip and I wish you a good time :)

thank you....i will def have to buy some of those activity packs for sure...yeah my hubby wanted to just drive straight thru but i figured it would be best to stay the night in mobile so that way we keep the kids on their routines as much as possible....def dont need three little "grumpy"s....lol....and luckily mom has agreed to accompany us as well!! :cheer2:

im also putting together an activity binder for each boy with print out color pages and and activity pages from their fav disney movies....and doing little treats for good behavior at each rest stop (ie: new treat snack, game, movie, etc.)....im going to make them each a clip to put on the visor to be taken down when they act up....that will let them know if they get their treat for the rest stop or not....

anything that will help....lol....we flew last time when we only had our oldest two (4yrs, 1yr at the time)....went really smooth with the activities and treats...plus we were fortunate enough for them to take turns napping during the whole flight....so we only ever had one kiddo awake at a time :goodvibes
