Ok, my questions is - I have a multi day pass that is not a hopper - is it possible for me to use multiple days in a single day? Example: I would visit MK in the morning - then visit MGM in the afternoon - using 2 days of entry during the same day?

That is exactly what will happen if you park hop with a non-hopper, it'll cost you two days on your pass. If you think about that, you're spending over $120 on passes per person that day, though. ;)

But if you think about it - You buy a 6 Day Ticket with No Hopper for a trip of 3 days and you go to 2 parks per day - you pay only $200.00 for that 6 Day Pass - but will pay $231.00 for the 3 Day Hopper Pass (These prices are through Ticket Mania with the Mouse Savers Discount). That is what I am thinking about - I will save $31.00 per pass this way - only if I can use 2 days within the same day. Do you think this will work?

I don't believe the Disney computer system will allow you to do that. Once the non-hopper pass is used on a given day, it will not allow it to be used again at a different park, even if you want to charge another day to the pass.

No you can not do that. If you have a non hopper ticket, then you can only enter one park on one day. If you try to enter a second park thinking you can just use a second days entrance, the computer will not allow you to enter. That is why if you want to hop between parks, that you need to buy the hopper ticket. The non hopper ticket will allow you to re enter the same park on the same day, but you can't enter a second park.

The WDW computer system will not allow you to use more than one day IN one day. If you don't have a park hopper, you can only visit one park per day.

No, no, a (we must be up to about a) thousand times no! :teeth:

Think of it this way: With a base pass, your ticket is not for park entrances but for park days. You can enter one park per day, but you can enter and leave that park as many times as you want (within reason - if you try to reenter too soon after leaving, there's a safeguard that will reject your ticket, so two people can't use the same pass).

Sorry, your pass will not work that way. Think of your MYW ticket as entrance to the major theme parks for X number of days, not X number of entries. Once you use your ticket at a theme park each day your ticket is tagged to you and to that theme park. That day only you can use it to re-enter and only at that park unless its a park hopper. Subsequent days can be used at any theme park but only that theme park that day. You just can't use two days on your ticket on one day.

For reference, here is the link to the FAQ on the official Disney website:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...tateProvince=DE

Per the official site:
"Magic Your Way base tickets give each member of your travel party entry to one theme park a day each day of your ticket."

A better explanation although not an "official" website is at allears:
http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticket.htm#8

"Am I allowed to use two days off of my MYW Base ticket (non-hopping) if I decide I want to go to a second park on the same day as the first?

No you are not. The tickets are sold and the computer system is based on the number of days you have, not the number of park visits. Once you have used a non-park hopping ticket at any park, the computer system will not let you use it at another park on the same day."

In short if you want to park hop you must add on the park hopper feature.

Thank you all so much for answering my question. I haven't actually purchased the ticket yet! It was just an option I was thinking of. I figured it was worth a try afterall.

I have never been to this board before today and I am so surprised at the many responses that I received in a short period of time. I have posted this question on other boards with no response - you could swear that either nobody knows the answer or maybe nobody logs into those boards? Oh well, I guess I found a new place to come for my fix! Thank you all again!

That's why :disrocks: There's always someone here that will have the answer for you or can tell you where to find it.

The DIS is huge - every question gets answered (sometimes correctly, sometimes, not so much).

This particular topic comes up about once a week as new people come to the boards.

I'm new to the board - but in no way am I new to Disney World - I am a huge Disney Freak - and go to Disney World quite often. I just haven't dealt with the passes as of yet since I have annual passes. We have someone coming with us on our next trip that needs to purchase passes - So I was looking for the best route for her. Thank you all Again!
