Hello.

I have a friend that booked a trip to Disney World directly with Disney. They elected not to have the free Disney Magical Express option and went with a town car instead.

I have only used Magical Express so I am not sure how this will work for them. Will they receive paperwork for the town car with their disney documents and will the driver automatically be waiting for them at the airport or do they need to do something else? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Was the towncar an option spelled out in the package?

Normally Disney packages use Magical Express. Guests may skip the DME and book towncars on their own as an independent reservation.

Almost all towncar companies have the driver or a ground agent meet you in the airport.

Yes it was an option under ground transportation. They selected Town Car and it stated a pickup time which is the time their flight is suppose to arrive. They had also booked their airfare directly with Disney so I'm not sure if that is why that option showed up.

Towncar drivers are usually waiting for their guests at baggage claim, holding up signage with the family's name. Other than something on the reservation confirmation page, I doubt they will get anything else for the towncar service.
