This is my very first Pre-Trip Report. I am new to Disney and have only been once when I was about 12 years old, but I fell in love when I went & always wanted to go back. Finally that dream is coming true.
Usually I am just a lurker on these boards, soaking up all the information that I can, but I am glad to be writing my first report!

My DBF & I are heading to the World May 5, 2008 & cannot wait!

This is me Soneeca; I am a 20-year-old College student, and full time worker. I’ve been obsessed with Disney since I was a little girl. Some of my favorite movies are the little mermaid, the lion king & Aladdin. I have a passion for traveling, and I love trying new things.

This is my DBF Jason; He is 20 years old, and we will be celebrating our 3-year anniversary on May 5th. Jason is in love with cars, food, and roller coasters. He’s not as obsessed with Disney as I am but I’m working on it. He has only been to Disney World once when he was about 7 years old and sadly he has no memories, or pictures of it.

We currently have reservations at Pop Century Resort;we have the basic dining plan & 7-day park hopper & water park tickets.
All of our ADR’s are made. We have our plane tickets, magical express packet & hotel vouchers. So now it’s just the wait. 19 more days.

Today I went to school, and I had the day off from work. So I decided to come home & start some WDW packing. I bought a ton of new clothes for this trip, but I still have some last minute things I need to buy. I decided to only bring one large suitcase down with me & a carry on, Jason is going to pack a duffle bag in his suitcase for any extras we decide to buy down there. Since this will be our first time there in a LONG time I’m sure we will come back with a bunch of stuff!

I am so bad at packing.

Congratulations!

We leave in a month and are staying at POP too. My son (8) loves it there! You and your BF will have so much fun! A lost has changed in the 8 years since you've been there!

I'm writing my first Pretrip too! Come over and check it out!

I can't wait to read more of your plans!:goodvibes

As i told you before Jason loves food. I mean the boy can eat enough for 3 or 4 people and he still stays so buff & slim im jealous:confused3

At first we werent going to do the dining plan, but i convinced DBF that it would save us some money (because it will). So we chose to do one TS each day and a CS for lunch. Honestly if we didnt do Table service's the boy would probably eat churros everyday. Thats all he talks about. He cant wait to have one.:goodvibes

So here are our May ADRS;

May 5th -Le Cellier
May 6th-Jiko
May 7th-Tokyo Dining
May 8th-Liberty Tree Tavern
May 9th-Sci Fi Dine in
May 10th-Ohana's Character Dinner
May 11th-Coral Reef
May 12th-Chef Mickeys (breakfast)

For Sci-F & Chef Mickeys we will pay OOP.

I was skeptical about keeping Le Cellier with the menu changes, but since i never tried the original menu why not? I'm excited to eat at Jiko. Ive heard nothing but great reviews on it and im dying to see the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Someday we will stay there.:)

Got a bunch of homework & laundry to do.
UPNEXT: How this trip came about.

I really like Le Cellier, even with the menu changes! Yes, the original menu was nicer, but hey, it's still good eats!:thumbsup2

Liberty Tree was nice, my son liked it alot.:)

Sci-Fi I would think about--I had a really, really bad experience there and the food was just okay. The theming is cool, but for an OOP meal, you may want a bit more bang for the buck.:rolleyes1

Chef Mickey's is a great character breakfast! :cloud9: We love it! We have gone there on the last 3 trips and will be going again this time! :woohoo:

Can't wait to read more!

Been busy with work & school.
Sorry for the late update.

Last year around October me & the DBF were so wore out. We were going to school full time on top of working full time & it was stressing both of us out & we didnt have much time to spend together. One night i was online & decided to see if they had any vacation specials for Disney World. I had been wanting to go back since i was younger & i knew Jason would LOVE to go again.I wouldnt have to ask him twice. I looked up some prices and did some calculations to find out that they were quite reasonable.

Later that night I asked him "Wouldnt it be nice to just take a vacation to Florida & get away from school & work for awhile." He was like "I would love that" I played it off with me too, sucks we cant right now.

After he said that, that was it. I decided i was going to surprise him with a vacation. Now all i had to do was plan the darn thing! I was checking good dates for us to go with school & work and came up with May 2008. So in November i found great deals on flights & purchased the tickets. I didnt even have Disney reservations yet:confused:

I was so excited that I had purchased the plane tickets that i just wanted to tell him but i decided i would wait until Christmas & surprise him. It was so hard to wait. In the meantime i called Disney & booked our reservations for Pop with our park tickets. I was so excited. I seriously just wanted to tell him but i decided not to. Disboards kept me busy:)

So my friend from work came up with this brilliant idea on a way to surprise him for christmas. What i did was I took a small suitcase and inside i put swim trunks, goggles, a couple beach towels, sunscreen, and underneath i put in an envelope our flight itinerary. Also in the envelope was a cute Disney World Itinerary I made up. I had the maps i ordered off of the disney website in there too and i kept that suitcase in the garage at my house. Just in case he were to come over and be like why do you have your luggage out?:goodvibes

On christmas he gave me my lovely gifts & i was too excited to give him his. I rolled over the suitcase and he just sorta looked at me like "What the heck" and he opened it and looked at the swim trunks and was like thank you, he opened the envelope and the smile on his face meant everything to me. I wish i would have recorded it:goodvibes He was so excited. Of course when he found out how much the vacation was, with the plane tickets. He insisted on paying for half of it. Even though i didnt want him to, but that right there made holding off to tell him so worth it.:yay:

We later decided to add on the dining plan, and spend a day at universal. He cannot wait to ride the huge roller coasters there. So i had to give him at least a day there.

We are almost at our two week mark & i seriously cannot believe its getting so close. Jason & I have some last minute shopping to do tomorrow when we get off work & we decided to have a movie night and watch Aladdin tomorrow to get in the spirit, even though we dont need it we have enough spirit:cool1:

Cool random fact

I work at a hotel, i am a front desk associate. So i was making a reservation for a guy today and I asked him what date he would be arriving and he said May 4th 2008 and i happen to ask him so where you heading to? and he says florida. I was like awesome. We later find out we will be on the same flight, both going to disney world, staying at the same resort. Only him & his family will be there for only 4 days. We seriously sat on the phone for half an hour talking about Disney world. I'm going to be working up until the day before we leave. I'll be working the morning shift so ill have the day to pack and do last minute errands but right now just thinking about that day, i wont even be able to concentrate at work and i know the time is gonna go by so slow haha.

anyways i thought id share that. This world is full of Disney Lovers:)

I hope you have a wonderful time can't wait to read the trip report, you and your DBF are such a cute couple. Oh just a heads up my DD16 will be there on a school trip the same time and staying in the same resort so if you happen to see a teenage girl talking loudly on her cell phone non stop more than likely its her............lol

Thanks for the post Disneygirl, i will definitely look out for your DD16! haha I'm pretty sure it wont be too hard to find her if she loves talking on her cell phone like i do haha:rotfl:

Sorry i haven't posted in awhile. Been really busy finishing up a bunch of school work, and working.

Yesterday the DBF & I went over our ADR's. He had no idea what i was talking about when i said ADR haha. I had to explain it to him. We went on allearsnet and checked out menus and what not. I had originally asked him his opinion on all the ADR's but i booked these so long ago that i wasnt sure he remembered. So i had him go through the menus of each one and make sure its something he would enjoy. He loved them all:cool1: He then asked me to look at some of our resort pictures (he's never asks this) So i went online and found some and he looked through about 80 pictures. I can definitely tell he's getting excited. The DBF never gets excited about anything until its pretty close to leave. He also wanted me to explain the dining plan to him again and how it works. So we spent a good hour talking about Disney which made me happy, because usually hes like "Soneeca we have like 3 more months before we go lets figure it out later lol. now he cant say that since we leave on monday!

Today we went and bought about $200 worth of stuff for our WDW trip. We needed everything from clothes, to swim suits, to ponchos, to travel stuff. It was a LONG day thats forsure. At Wal-Mart they had a sell on Disney socks they had a ton of cute ones and they were all $2.00 each, and these are the nice thick socks with the rubber on the bottom. I bought like 4 pair! They also had a sale on the Disney beach towels they were $5 I had to buy a Little Mermaid one, it was too cute! We also bought a bunch of snacks for the plane, ponchos, bathing suits, etc. Just the usual things you need. We are now officially set to leave on Monday, i have a hair appointment on Saturday when i get off work, and a nail appointment tomorrow when i get off work. So every things done.:cool1: :cool1:

So now its just that 5 day wait....what am i gonna do to occupy my time?

Definitely gonna watch DISNEY MOVIES!!:goodvibes

Tonight is Finding Nemo DBF's favorite!
