Disney world during movie releases?

we will be in Disney during the Guardians Of The Galaxy release and I was just curious if they ever do anything special??

Probably not. There may be an expensive ticketed event with an after party at DHS but I don't think they even did that for Rogue One (even though they did it for Force Awakens). There may be something at Disney Springs though and will definitely be 7pm movies. Sometimes they do a parks blog meet up so keep an eye there but it is usually a pre-screening about a week before official release.

If they do it they'll announce it on disneyparks.com/blog sign ups go quick. Sometimes they are limited to Florida residents only. If there was a paid event for that one I would imagine we would have heard since it is 2 months away but parks blog will announce a couple weeks to a month before the movie release.


I saw Wreck It Ralph and Frankenweenie with the parks blog and it was so much fun.

They handed out some small items in a few places when we were there one year. Think plastic and cheap. Still a souvenir.

We get invites to early screenings every time (we are dvc owners) we are there around movie release time. We got a dr strange invite last trip.

We will be there right before Cars 3 is released and my youngest is OBSESSED. I would love it if they had anything extra around but I won't count on it.
