Hello All!
In July I will be going to Disney World for 5 days and then on a Disney Cruise for another 4. I am totally psyched! I had a major spinal fusion about 4 weeks ago and although I have use of my legs...it is very limited. I am just about at the point where I can walk around for periods of about five minutes, maximum. I am hoping that by July I will be able to walk a little bit more but probably not much more than ten minutes at a time. I have booked all handicapped accessible rooms (resort and cruise). I want to rent a wheelchair because it sounds less stressfull than a scooter. It sounds like boarding the buses and rides is easier with a wheelchair. Is this true? Also, is it possible to rent a wheelchair near Disney World and have it picked up by the cruise port? I have had so much time on my hands lately and have read so many of the posts here and have compiled a lot of notes! Thanks for the great advice. I am looking forward to your responses to my questions! Thanks so much!
