How is Disney World around Thanksgiving? Is there anything special going on? Is there still fall decorations out or is it Christmas already? Any input will be greatly appreciated! ºoº
Thanks

It's awesome. Been there last 3 years and going again this year. Parks are all decorated with most of the resorts decorated as well. If you go, make sure you attend a MVMCP it is worth the extra cost.

Only negative is the tree at MK usually didn't go up until after TG

Weather is variable, warm enough for shorts during the day but usually needed pants in the evening

Mk is decorated because of the Christmas partiy, DHS has Osborne Lights starting early November too. Epcot will be decorated and all the storytellers, specialty holiday shops and Candlelight Processional will start day after Thanksgiving. All resorts will be decorated. So yep, it's full blown Christmas that week for sure.

Are you going this year? I only ask because the Osborne Lights at DHS will not be around after this year. This is their final year in the park as room is made for the new additions to the park. I personally love going over the holidays. Epcot is great starting on Black Friday when the Holidays Around the World starts. The storytellers are great and the additional ending to Illuminations is great. As stated above, the Candlelight Processional should not be missed. The holiday version of Wishes is only available during the MVMCP until around the 20th of December. Just some info.

I am thinking of going at thanksgiving a different year. Do they do the Christmas party that week? I went online to see how much the tickets are and it says unavailable. I am wondering if it is because they are sold out or they don't have the party. Is this week worse than Easter? That is when we usually go, so maybe I will think it is empty in comparison :)

There are no parties the week of Thanksgiving. Easter is historically more crowded, but Thanksgiving is pretty crowded too.

That's a bummer about the parties. I still think it sounds like fun but I thought that would make it even better! Thanks for the reply!
