I have went all over the Internet and to Disney World all and I just can't find the answers to my questions :(

I weigh right at 300 and my wife weighs right at 400. What rides will we probably not be able to ride at Disney World

Also, do they have belt extensions on the rides?

Check here for some helpful info: http://wdwig.com/ridsiz.htm

(hoping I did that right!)

It has a lot of info about other people's experiences and the rides, etc. I've not personally had any trouble with the rides when a size 28. Had a little trouble finding the buckle spot on KRR at AK and a CM was RIGHT there with a seatbelt extender (which I didn't even need).

Have fun planning!

Oh, yeah, and welcome to the DIS to a fellow Tennessean!!

I also have a concern/question. My DH is 6'8" and has a body type like a football player (with broad shoulders). When we went to six flags he couldn't ride the rides that had over the head harnesses - the ones that come down over your head and sits on your shoulders. I don't remember, but are there any rides like that at DW that he might have a problem with? Has anyone had any experience with this? I was looking at the picture of the seats on the RnR ride at MGM and was thinking that might be a problem?

Any experience you can share with me? Thanks!

I am 250+, big in the hips and rear, DH is right around 400 and big in the belly. We have had no problems, I have found the the CM's are very sensitive to large people and adjust accordingly. We always get seated in the middle seats on boat rides (POC, Splash, Small World) and usually get that row to ourselves. The front car on RNR has a little more leg/body room, but even on a middle car we have had no problems. RNR has a test car in the chicken exit, if you have any doubts ask to give it a try- the hallway is very quiet and out of the way, you're not on display. The front seat on Space Mtn on the other hand is tighter than the other seats, DH had to switch with another passenger as the lap bar wouldn't engage. That was handled very well by the CM's.
One tip for rides with seat belts, grab the belt BEFORE you sit down, then as you are sitting bring it around your waist towards the latch- much easier than digging into your hipe for a belt as the vehicle is pulling away!
We have no prblem at all fitting together in any of the Omnimover rides- HM, Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White, Buzz, etc. Simulator rides (Dinosaur, Star Tours, Body Wars) can be a little snug but not uncomfortable. TOT will be better I am sure now that each seat has it's own lap belt- the last time we were on it we had two little girls in our row, and the lap bar never made it down far enough to keep them in. They got lots of airtime and wanted to ride with us again!
Theater seats can be a bit of a tight squeeze, but I have found that Disney is consistently better than almost anyone with designing rides and attractions that EVERYONE can enjoy.

Thanks for all the info :) Can anyone tell me about Space Mountain and Mission: Space as far as us being able to ride it

Dh and I had no problems with Space Mountain except for the front car of the train, the lap bar would not come down far enough to latch for DH, so he moved to another car. We haven't been on M:S yet, but all that I have been reading back since the CM previews is that this ride is accessible to us Pooh-sized folk. The cabin is a bit claustophobic but I am sure once the ride starts I won't be thinking much of anything! ;)

Welcome to the DIS and to disABILITIES.
The links that people already posted are very helpful ones.
Over the years, I have read this smae question lots of times and the responses are always the same as you have received on this thread. you will have a great time and will find the parks very accessible to you.
From what I have read on MS, it should not be a problem either. There are 4 individual seats with their own seatbelts in each spaceship. Someone in this thread (on page 2, if the thread pops open as page one) says they have been on MS multiple times and have seen Pooh size people riding it with no problem. So, have fun and let us know what you find.
Now, if they just make a non-movement version of MS for us chickens who can't ride the teacups.;)

The two I have felt uncomfortable on are the Tea Cups and the seats for WWTBAM. But I think my problem with the Tea Cups is because I'm short and my rear is right at the little door. :o

Otherwise, we haven't had any problems.

I agree completely with that!

I have never been on the teacups in all our many trips to WDW (no spinning things for me!!), but I wanted to comment a little abou the cars on that ride. They are a teacup shape with a bench running around the inside of the teacup. There are no specific seats, but bench is curved around the inside of the teacup and there are doors (only one door???) along the perimeter to get in and out. There is also a wheel set into the middle of the floor that can be spun to make the teacup spin. The combination of the curving seat, wheel in the middle and door might be what chellnjr finds uncomfortable.
One thing to keep in mind about any of the rides with molded plastic seats (which is most of them) is that most of them have very shallow seats to make it easier to get past them and get in and out of rides. I have long legs and find that very little of my leg/lower thigh is sometimes on the seat. That might also make it uncomfortable for someone who is Pooh sized. The good thing is that most of the rides that have this are fairly short.

The page at Deb Wills site that was already posted has a lot of good info. Be sure to follow that links on the left side of the page (a lot of people don't realize they are all links to WDW at Large pages and not just links back to her general park info). There is a link to a ride photo page that is helpful to Pooh size people and people with disabilities to decide how they will fit/get into a ride. The one problem I have with the phots is that it's just the ride car itself, nothing to help you get a relative size (like a ruler of something in the picture). But it still is a very helpful page.

Sorry I didn't clarify a bit more. It's just getting in and out of the door that is uncomfortable for me. I'm sure it is just because I'm so short. The door isn't very wide and just isn't at a good height for me. Once I'm inside the tea cup I'm just fine.

I'm the same way with the teacups door! I just step up on the teacup door ledge and turn sideways--it helps!

That explains it:D
I wondered how I missed all those doors in the ride (I have watched DDs and DH ride the teacups many times, but I thought there was only one door).

You've gotten some great advice here and I just wanted to add about Mission Space. I rode this summer (I'm 300 and 5'7") and I was worried about the size of the capsule and it coming down on me, but it was fine. I didn't feel closed in at all. I did get a little queasy, but that was from the ride itself, not the size of the seat - lol! Have fun.
