Disney Worker Said Rape Allegations "Aren't Serious"

What a disgusting pig! It's also disgraceful for Disney to have hired such ilk. The woman also showed poor judgment in allowing the man to stay in her hotel room after she and her children went to bed. :confused3 Just a train wreck of decisions all the way around.

I can't speculate, but I know Disney DOES do background checks as I had to discuss a legal situation with the CM in casting. I was facing some pretty serious charges when I was hired, but they were in the process of being dropped (no, I didnt do what they were accusing, lol). I had mentioned it in advance, but they had all the details when I came in for my follow-up.

It's a shame this scum-bag got through the process though. :sad2:

I am not sure how you can put the blame on Disney for this one. They guy really only got convicted or a petty theft...any other arrests were not prosecuted and the they occured over 10 years ago.

Bad people are everywhere, but as PP mentioned, who would go to Disney on a "deal" of someone else, let them in their room and let them stay there while everyone was sleeping. Something is just "off" on this story and thank God nothing happened to the children.

The women was unwilling and that is rape reguardless of the situation. That being said she must have had some indication from the CM that he was expecting something since she specifically reported telling him that she was "NOT" willing to trade sexual favors for the trip.

She showed some very poor judgement accepting his freebies and discounts knowing he might expect something in return.

The bottom line is that he is a scum for what he did and should pay for it.

as other have said - rape is rape, but wow, did this woman not suspect a thing up until that point?

spending all day with this guy she didnt know acting as if they were family?

letting him into her room?

then falling asleep while this supposed complete stranger was still in her room?

wow.

Yep. That's when he returned the check card he allegedly stole. Dude was totes in the wrong, when he offered the CM discount and entrance to the parks. But her story is fishy.

This story has to be missing a ton of information. The whole thing is weird. Parts of it just doesnt make any sense. And the decision-making all-around is just so horribly bad it's difficult to believe it all to be true. And to be fair, we havnt officially heard his side of the story which is probably smart on his part until he gets a lawyer.

The whole thing is just odd.

I don't believe this story for one instance she had sex with him for financial benifit and is now regretting it and crying rape.

Her story didn't make sense. She said she woke up when he was "tugging" at her pants and that she woke up and realized he raped her. She also said she asked him why would he want to do that and get out because she's sleeping. (huh?) :confused3

I can see it now - she'll be SUING DISNEY! Deep pockets. ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds her story fishy! Don't get me wrong, if this is true, he should have some serious consequences coming his way. But her story doesn't make sense. :sad2: The thing that blew it for me? This:

"The victim told investigators she closed her eyes and must have fallen asleep because she felt the suspect trying to pull her pants down from the left side of her hip."

Sex crimes detectives said the victim woke up to the Disney employee raping her. According to investigators, the woman "jumped out of bed, tired, disoriented, and saying, 'Why would you do that? I'm sleeping! Go!'"

That makes NO sense to me. 1. If he was raping her, she for one, would have woken up way faster than just that I would assume, because apparently she was already being raped. 2. Why wouldn't she just scream, and try and get help?:confused3

My big question, is how they met. They apparently met online or something? Why would you trust a guy you met online who would give you discounts and then expect to stay with you in the room?
