Fourteen men, including a worker at Disney's animal Kingdom, were arrested Thursday in an undercover child pornogrophy investigation in Polk county.
All of the men face charges of possession of distributing child pornogrophy.
The Polk county Sheriffs Office said more than 21,000 images and movies of child porn and more than 20,000 images of child erotica wre uncovered in the month-long investigation, which was dubbed "Operation Protector"
Sheriffs detectives said the children were mostly boys from the age of 2 to 12 years old.
Deputies said many of the arrestees knew each other, leading to more arrests.
Paul Fazio, the Animal Kingdom employee who worked in a gift shop at the park, has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation, according to a Disney spokesperson.

ewww.. gross. :crazy2: Since when did they start calling it "child erotica?" WTH?? Is this some new PC term that the pedophiles came up with?

I prosecutor these kind of low lifes. "Child Erotica" are sexualized pictures of kids but ones which don't meet the legal definition of child porn in a particular state. For example - child posing naked but privates not seen or strategically covered. It's all gross. You cannot believe the stuff pervs loook at - parenting magazines, childrens' clothing catalogs. Even in my relatively small city compared to most we know of a few that hang out at the waterpark taking photos of the kids. Also FYI most sexual abuse of kids comes from a family member or good family friend. Often they are the people you'd LEAST suspect. Just my 2 cents from 10 years of prosecuting these criminals.

I am just wondering how all of this gets on the Internet to begin with?? If the perverts can access it, cannot the government? And then eliminate it from the Net at it's source?? If it's illegal to have it, it must be illegal to produce and distribute it in the first place(?). Or am I missing something legal here??

Note: Assumed that this was Internet Child Porn.

It makes me so sick that this man was working at the disney parks and obviously had endless access to children. I'm so happy he and the others were arrested and removed.

This is gross!!! But not surprised Disney hires drunks to escort their characters around! I know this because I was rear ended by one who smelt like alcohol. And he said he had to leave he was dressed in the shirt the escorters wear. When the police came they showed me some pictures and asked if he was one of them. I said yes they said I was right he was driving with a suspended license. I was lucky enough to get his tag# plus the idiot gave me a card with his name on it. He still works at Disney I was with my kids over the summer and we saw him escorting Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee. The too is gross to me.

1) It is sad that the media jumps on WDW when an employee is involved.
2) With about 60,000 employees, there are going to be bad apples.
3) At hiring, you get fingerprinted for a criminal search. *
4) They can't continue to do criminal investigations.
5) Other than that, what can ANY employer do?
6) Blame human nature, not Disney.

* Of course these searches are not that comprehensive. They did not uncover that I had torn the "do not remove under penalty of law" tag from my mattress, or that I used terms, phrases and descriptions of football games without the written permission of CBS and the NFL.

Many if not most of the servers probably sit in a country that makes it hard to shut down. There are different laws in different countries and we don't have jurisdiction in all of them.

Now, I am no lawyer but I would assume accessing the sites would break, among others, RICO statutes because the images would be traveling over wires in the US.

It is a bit like the drug trade. There is no reason we can't use satellite imaging to find the fields that grow the drugs but we can't just fly over them with napalm because the fields are not on our soil.

Unfortunately the child porn industry shares another common denominator with the drug trade, demand. Where there is a demand someone will be willing to supply.

I also agree that Disney can’t be held responsible for everything their employees do when they are at home. As long as they do due-diligence while hiring I think they are doing all they can.

OH NO AND A DISNEY CAST MEMBER NO LESS

Cast members are people, guys, just like the rest of you. This really doesn't have any bearing on Disney one way or the other.

Granted this guy's a scumbag and deserves whatever he gets.
