Disney Work Benefits

Hello All,
I am retiring soon and my wife and I would like to get employment with Disney. I was curious as to their benefits, such as Healthcare and the cost for single and family coverage? I have read the information on Disney job site but does not give any particulars. Also how much of a discount do you get on Disney merchandise and food at Disney property restaurants? thanks

I did the Disney College Program and we didnt get the health benefits, so unfortunately, I can't help you with that because I don't know. Hopefully somebody else will stop by this thread soon and help you with that.

Employees get 20% off merchandise and food (a few places don't offer the employee discount). You get in for free at the parks at anytime unless there's some blockout, and you get a Main Gate pass that you can use to get friends and family in for free. My Main Gate as a CP let me bring 3 people at the time 6 times a year. I'm not sure, but I think full-timers had 16 days a year? Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

You get Disney Cruise discount. Also 50% off Disney hotel rooms for yourself, and 40% off for friends and family.

There are also a bunch non-Disney places nearby property that offer Cast Member discounts.

Oh, and you can also buy discounted tickets. There is a chart with the discount prices on the Hub, an online portal for employees.

I think the greatest perk is getting to see all the Disney behind-the-scenes. Fun times!
