U.S. State Department and Homeland Security Department officials have withdrawn a proposal that would have required passports by Dec. 31 for travel to the Caribbean. Similar rules requiring passports for travel into Canada and Mxico by Dec. 31, 2006, were also expected to be withdrawn. Travel experts predict that the new policy will require passports for Americans traveling abroad by air or sea at the end of 2006, with passports required for land border crossings by the end of 2007.

I have to share this latest post by SueEllen one of the moderators for the DIS see post number 15 of the thread link provided http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=890703

While the updated time-line has not yet been released, at this time DCL is still advising that Passports are required for sailings January 1, 2006 and later.

This could change, but for now, they are still requiring them.

Sue Ellen

I assume 'they' implies DCL. Could be bad news for us!

There's a free online DISNEY radio station. Here's a link to the one I like the best. THIS IS HOW RADIO DISNEY SHOULD BE! They play songs from movies , sound tracks from rides, and right now I am listening to the music from the Haunted Masion (the sounds you hear when you first walk in and the music from when you enter the ride). OMGosh, this is soooo cool. So,from now on,I'll be loggin in to the music site and then onto the DIS. Check it out guys! http://www.live365.com/stations/disneymagic901 There's other Disney stations as well, but I like the classics.

O.k.,I'm a little creeped out since I was just listening to the whistling song from Robin Hood and now the Haunted Masion. Ewww. O.k., the music changed to HERCULES ohhh the memories of my cruise in '04!

Where is everyone?! I expect to see (((double))) the amount of posts this week you slackers! :teacher:

Add another cruiser Taeja. I directed her to this thread so she should get here sometime soon. Her name is Wendy and her DD is 6 and will be 7 at cruise time. they booked the 12gty. the prices have gone way up. A cat. 10 was $300 more than when my parents and I booked. Supply and demand :earseek:

She was lucky to get Cat 12 when she did, they have disappeared for this sailing. (At least for 4 people in a room, the one I looked up.) $400 more to go to Cat 11. Must mean this ship is filling up. I'm glad I booked early. You can add us to the list (I had a silly screen name before and wanted to change it before I "came out" to the boards!) Still hope to forget about this one day soon, for about 6 months or so to make the waiting less painful! Me and DH - upper 30's and two boys, DS-6, DS-7 (almost 8) at time of sailing.

Welcome to the best cruise thread ever Really Fun Mom! My DS will be 7 as will my friend's DD so our kids will all be about the same age. Actually, ever one we have going seems to have children between the ages of 4-8 on the sailing. I think LCT's Mom has a teenager. But all of us have 1 that is in that age group.

We are rounding the corner to having a year left. I think we do a good job about not obsessing. Although our motto is "IS IT TIME YET? :hourglass "

GOOD Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Really fun Mom. My DD will be 8 at the time of sailing!!!! :flower: :sunny:
