My DH and I are sailing on this cruise for our 20th anniversary. We brought our daughter and her cousin two years ago, tried Carnival last year (actually pleasantly suprised) but decided to do Disney for our anniversary. I can't believe the trip is so soon.

WELCOME Malicent, esq.! :sunny: :cheer2: :sunny:

So yesterday (Friday the 7th) was my 19th birthday
Happy belated Birthday Piecey! party: :bday: princess:

Happy Saturday everyone else!! :sunny: :cool1: :ccat:

I wouldn't think American is any worse than the other airlines. I don't think they have filed chapter 11 yet. I have flown American lots of times I am sure it will be fine just don't sweat the small stuff. We are flying down on american as well.

:wave2: Hi all! I just celebrated our 3,000th post over on the 9/19/04 revisted thread. Its so nice that our thread has gone on this long. I'd like to see our group get to 3,000 BEFORE we cruise. Wouldn't that be great?! :thumbsup2

Let's get posting all! We only have 1,199 posts to go. :hourglass

Vicki- Steelers play the 7th! I guess I won't be going to any parks that evening. :thumbsup2

We'll probably be just landing. Our flight was changed and we dont get back to Pittsburgh till 8pm.

Thanks everybody!

So to try to keep up.. who all is going to be swimming with the dolphins? I think that's what people were talking about booking through Shore Trips for, right?

Shore trips sounds right, but I'm not a 100% sure. I'm not 50% sure either, not even 45% sure...ok, I'm 0%sure.... DH is undecided about taking our 6yr old. She likes dolphins from a distance. We'll see.

I will be completely happy doing nothing (excursion wise). I just want to relax, eat, soak in the sun, and just do whatever. This time around I'm going to push myself to wake up a little earlier and stay up a little later so I can enjoy the ship more for sure and take a bridge tour.

Is any one planning to go the spa/salon?

I bet some one on here already knows the exact day we can sign up for excursions and dinner reservations. I thnk we can start 105 days in advance. Any suggestions for which night is best for a nice dinner at Palo.

:scratchin hmmm, I'm thinking.......

Michael and I were planning on the Spa, taeja. That boy needs a massage like you can't believe.

He just needs this vacation!

He's never been to Florida before, never flown before, never been on a cruise.. so this is his wonder-ful vacation :cool1:

I'm Nibbles Floppy Ears. My son is Milly Floppy Ears, my daughter is Buttons Floppy Ears, and my husband is Cadburry Floppy Ears. LOL

Happy Belated Birthday, Piecey! We are indeed talking about swimming with the dolphins. My family is trying to figure out if our travel insurance will cover it if we somehow miss out on our excursion, and that will affect whether we book through the dolphin swim place or if we go through Shore Trips. Thank you, Kerry, for that idea! $10 isn't a huge difference if you want peace of mind.

My hands are shaking so bad right now! We just had a fox in the backyard, which was exciting for me, but when I opened the screen door to take a picture, my cat slipped out! I was so scared that the fox would attack my cat that I couldn't get a good picture. And I scared the fox away when we tried to rescue my (idiot) cat. He climbed right up the fence! I've never seen a canine do that.

From passporter.com:

Shore excursion reservations can now be made online up to 75 days before embarkation (90 days for Castaway Club members and 105 days for Concierge guests). Your cruise must be paid in full in order to reserve online.

By my calculations :teacher: (counting backwards on a calendar) that equals:

75 days -- Tuesday, June 20th (this is me :P )
90 days -- Monday, June 6th (Tae Ja, this is you, right?)
105 days -- Sunday, May 21st

Of course, I have no intention of waiting for Disney to make my reservations! I'm gonna book through dolphin swims themselves, or Shore Trips, depending on the travel insurance. :hippie:

Cool for seeing a fox not so cool for the cat! I love seeing thing like that! We are going to Yellowstone next year and I want to see a bear. Everyone says I am crazy  go to the zoo. I tell them it's not the same thing!

There is a lot of new development in our area, and a lot of small patches of trees have been cut down. I saw a red fox right in the middle of the road the other day...we also have two HUGE hawks who now reside in our yard also.

Good morning everyone! :sunny: Got back from WDW late last night. As always, it was awesome. We had a great time at Disney Quest! I especially liked the interactive Pirates of the Caribbean. pirate: Not being a big fan of video games (much to my DH and DS's regret) I wasn't sure I'd enjoy DQ but it was a great experience!

We have yet to decide on shore excursions. The dolphin encounter sounds awesome and I'm also really interested in the Stingray excursion. I'm just not sure.....

Vicki--LOL I think I can live without seeing a wild bear! I don't mind deer and foxes, but anything that wouldn't mind taking a swipe at me is off the list!

Ooh, Lisa, tell me about DisneyQuest! About how long should we plan on being there? Is it good for all ages? Was it very crowded? What day and what time did you go?

Has anyone done Pleasure Island? I'm afraid we're trying to cram too much stuff into our vacation, but we want to see it all!

DQ was cool, 5 stories of various interactive video games. There are some where you actually become part of the game. Some are classic arcade type video games. There are air hockey tables and computers with internet accesss. I think a lot of it is geared towards older kids. My 5 year old dd loved what she was able to do but I think kids from 7 and up probably have the best time. My two boys (13 & 15) could run from floor to floor and do lots of different things. The top floor has food, another floor serves desserts. I would plan being there at least a half day, longer if you have video game addicted kids.

Can I be proud to say,I didn't DIS at all yesterday.

I hope so!

:ewok: :chewy: :dumbo: :eeyore: :simba: :stitch: :tigger: :ccat: :dog2: :cat: Bears, foxes, and hawks, OH MY! Is this the nature thread? Am I on the right thread? O.k., I like bears, but I prefer the teddy bear variety. My parents went on an Alaskan cruise last year and saw black and brown bears. So, Vicki, I perscribe to you an Alaskan cruise!
Just kidding.

The rabbits are out now here. Reesie our choc. lab wants out all the time and she perches her nose on the window sill looking out our backyard....watching for any activity.

Lisa, it sounds like you had a great weekend with the kids. Did you play any games yourself or did you hide in a nice quiet?

Dawn, I don't blame you having the wanting to do everything mentality....gotta type more later, baby's fussing.
