Thanks, Great pictures! Brings back memories from when I went to see it down here in Charleston a few months ago.

Our Ariel, though, couldn't adapt to the tiny WV rink and hit the wall, flew over it and landed right in front of some little girl in a Cinderella costume. The skater sat there for a minute with her ankles on her shoulders, upside down before she moved. The poor little girl started crying because she thought she killed Ariel..

Poor little girl is right!

Vicki, You and Amanda must be floating on cloud 9. What fun pics you posted. How do you like your camera now? Did it respond the way you wanted it to?Speed and environment wise? I'm still hoping to get a new camera before we cruise! Fingers crossed and pd too. :wizard:

I love the last photo, it reminds me of the last part of the Its a Small World ride where all the characters are wearing white and gold. Ahhhh :cutie:

Oh, Patsy, that must've been terrible. Poor little girl. Poor Ariel. :headache:

She had a smile from ear to ear for 2 hours! I love my camera! It's great. It was hard getting pictures because they were moving but I think what I got werent bad.
I tried to get a picture of Amanda when she went down to meet Ariel but there were other kids in the way but the smile got even bigger! It was really nice!!

LOVED the pictures from Disney on Ice. They bring back awesome memories. What kind of camera did you use, Vicki? I just got a new Canon digital for our cruise. Now I need to learn how to use it. :rotfl: At least I have some time to figure it all out.

Thanks. I have a Canon Powershot A520 and I love it!

Lisa, what kind of Cannon do you have? Vicki, can you refresh our memories of what camera you got around Xmas time (was it then, my memory is a little fuzzy)?

Canon Powershot A520, it is really nice. Lightweight, small, and takes really nice pictures. I love it!

I just bought the SD550. I bought one gig of memory so I'm ready to set sail. :rotfl: It seems like a decent camera, from what I have researched. I was getting myself crazy trying to decide which camera to get, I finally had to just make up my mind and buy one.

190 days til we cruise! OH MY GOSH! :cool1: :cheer2:

I bought 2-1 gig memoery cards, and 4-512. My Dad freak, he said How many pictures do you plan on taking. I said I dont know but I want to haVE ENOUGH! :teeth:

That's how I feel. It will be a long time for us to get back on a DCL after this trip so I want to take plenty of pictures. We're going to take our laptop and a card reader for the camera so I can offload pics if I have to.

Cool, I'll have to research those cameras. Thanks ladies! :thumbsup2

I just have to share this. I posted this last night on the Mag door thread b/c I knew she wouldn't look there. I wasn't going to post it here fearing my MIL would find our cruise thread. I'll post it temporarily and then delete it later, so please don't quote me.

princess: I am so excited! I'm gathering items for my MIL's door. I found a castle picture door covering (I'll cut out a hole for the stateroom number). On a light pink background is a white castle with a nice size path in front of it. There happened to be a Disney princess calendar for 75% off. So, what I'm going to do is, cut out the princess' and stick them on the castle door cover! I might put a phrase like, Celebrating my birthday princess style some where on the door w/ a gold glitter pen. I'm not going to tell my MIL. She'll just have to discover her decorated door.

Gathering door sign items has helped the time go a little faster. We got a great new printer too. A HP 4600 (I think thats the right one). Its awesome, the print quality is incredible. I can't wait to print out our door signs! :hyper:

Did you all catch the thread about "Departure date is DS birthday any suggestions?" I was going to wait until the days of our family's b-days, but now I read the thread I'm going to let our staff know from the get go just in case there are extra b-day goodies for them. make sense? Here's the thread just in case you are interested. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1038810

Hi just thought that all of you with Cannon cameras would like to know that you can buy a water tight case for it so that you can take pictures underwater. We bought it for our cruise last Sept. and it takes amazing pictures. :thumbsup2 We loved it at Castaway. I'll try to figure out how to post the pics on this thread so you can see them. :badpc:

Cool!!! That sounds neat!!!
I did alot of research when I was looking to buy mine camera. I was going to get the es01 (I think) but the reviews weren't that great and they all said that the lens cap wouldn't stay on! I really like mine and the price is coming down.

I got one! I wasnt going to then I went out and was taking pictures in the snow and I thought I would be better off with the case, even though I am not going diving, it will protect it from the spray and sand.

We just got back from the zoo! We had a blast!!!
Here's some pictures: :thumbsup2

I feel sorry for this guy. The male gorillia who was the head of the troop died. The keepers said that the troop morned him for 4 weeks. His oldest son took over as the head and this guy got into a fight with him and hurt him, so now the group shunned him:

That's the advantage of waiting. The guy at Best Buy said that camera manufacturers change/upgrade their features roughly every 6mos. We'll see.... :wizard:

8:10pm whoops, wrong comment for this group of pics. I didn't notice until now.

This picture of the waterfall I used the slow shutter speed so it slowed the water down. I think it looks neat:

Dont be afraid to look online either even with shipping it can be cheaper ;)

The poor Gorilla looks sad :(
Why can't everyone just get along???

(haha.)
Great pictures! I love going to the Zoo but haven't been to one in a looooong time.. and that was Cincinnati's..

VICKI--go back and edit your post #1430! Tae Ja was afraid her MIL would read what you've got quoted.

I've been reading through the end of my Passporter (typical that I can't seem to start at the beginning) and it says that the last guest usually debarks by 9:45am, and early rotation breakfast is served at 6:45am. That will be 4:45am for us. I hope I can wake up! On the plus side, I hadn't realized how early we'd be off the ship, and now we have time to go to Kennedy Space Center. :cheer2: And my MIL is so determined that we should do this, that I think she's going to pay for it. (phew! One less cost to worry about.)

Another handy thing about the Passporter is that it gives suggested tip amounts. Yay! Now I don't have to strain my socially-retarded brain.

Tae Ja, I'm going to head over to the WISH board and take a look.
