Disney Wonder Sept 3-7, 2006

Do the kids know? Wouldn't they"slip" and say something in front of her? My kids would for sure. I didn't even want tmy kids to know we were going till it got closer but they heard me talking to my bil and they "know" something. I am going to keep the cat 3 thing a secret till we get onboard though. I am actually hoping to keep it a secret from all my friends and neighbors because I just know they are going to make a comment about us going on the Disney cruise AGAIN. And quite frankly I don't want to hear it.....

Eh, the kids know but we talk about going again so much that I could probably blow it off and just say we're HOPING to. After all, we're not really going 'til we're paid in full. That's a long way off.

Do you guys ever pick up a book somewhere and read the jacket and think "wow this sounds really good?"
and then start to read it and the jacket blurb was all wrong?
I've been reading this book all day and it says "hilarious quest to find her missing husband" but there is nothing hilarious about it at all. He died. How is that funny?

I can't believe I missed all of the dog talk!
As you may have noticed, I am a fan of big burly dogs and I have no idea why. I love Rotties, and Great Danes, and Bulldogs, and Pits. And Oscar, my little Shar Pei / Boxer / mutt:

We had a second dog for awhile, a Staffordshire named Noggin. Everyone thought he was a Pitbull but he had the body of a bulldog and the heart of a fluffly little rabbit:

He had a little too much energy for Oscar, sadly, and the two of them started having issues. Noggin would want to PLAY PLAY PLAY and Oscar just wanted to sleep. They started getting a little nippy at each other. So we're back to just Oscar; Noggin lives with a young guy now who takes him rollerblading and stuff. We get pictures every so often.

We saw a red-nose pitbull puppy at PetSmart adoptions this weekend and she was BEAUTIFUL......but when we took her for a "walk" she was literally pulling us around on her back legs! WAY too much energy for our household. She was allllll puppy. So cute though.

I'm going to be the crazy dog lady when I get old. I just know it.

We had to get rid of a kitty of ours and it's tough. Luckily one of my friends from high school had always loved him and adopted him .. so I still have visitation..

Yeah, it was really REALLY sad letting him go because we still think of him as our tough-looking little baby, but it was really for the best for him and Oscar. Though I have to admit, having one dog is about ten times easier and the food lasts forever now

Food! Ah! It took FOREVER to find a food Rink would eat. Luckily, he's tiny so he doesn't eat much.. but at the same time, it took forever to find something he'd eat because he doesn't eat much. Just this last bag did I find one he'd eat.
I made him suffer through each of the other bags, even if he didn't like it, which might make me a bad owner but he's PICKY!

What do you feed Oscar?

And to not totally fill this post with nonsense about food.. it's great that you still get to see Noggin in pictures. If he really had all that energy, I bet he loves going skateboarding

So I'm just now heading to bed, after staying up all night finishing that pesky book I was talking about earlier.

It made me want to cry. That book broke my heart. Maybe I'm strange and I took everything in it the completely wrong way.. but I'm kinda mad. Book that are sad and make you want to cry shouldn't have the word "hilarious" anywhere in their little jacket blurbs. This should be illegal or something.
Just a thought.

Yea we had a "snow day" today too!! But I think it was more temperature. With Wind chill its 10 below!

Same here Vicki although I think with wind chill it was 25 below this morning and now we are getting major lake effect snow. Angelina just said hey mom look out the window it looks like a snow globe

Only because its so far away. Only the DCL obsessed have their vacation planned that far ahead The rest will be trickling in slowly rest assured

Hi Taeja!!!! Yea I only like snow when I'm looking at it from the inside I think we are finally done with the snow for today. I thought for sure we would have adelay this morning but alas it was only -11 not quit cold enough Just 5 miles north of me is in a state of emergency from snow... They are measuring in FEET how much snow they have gotten in 2 days and it is still snowing

We have about 2 feet on the ground but thats over the last 3 weeks.
