Well last night was 1st grade curriculum night whoa!!! I can't believe how much they cram in in one year. It has changed so much since my oldest was in 1st grade. I feel sorry for the kids who get behind or have trouble in school. It must stink as a parent to have your kid already be frustrated with school in 1st grade and think " oh joy only 11 more years of this"
I can totally relate! We missed T H R E E days of school when we cruised and the volume of makeup work that Teia had was unbelievable! She has to read a minimum of 5 books a week, one chapter, two non fiction and two picture books. Some kids in her class take THREE A.R. tests A DAY! If they read all 5 books, they have to get more!

Taeja what do the kids think?

The kids are thrilled. We told them night before last and now we know the oldest dd can't keep a secret. I walked in her class for Johnny Appleseed day and some other mom's and the teacher said, "hi" like they knew some thing. So, I asked dd if she told any one and she said only a couple of people. She refused to devulge who. We were going to try and keep it a family secret until I was able to tell my parents (not that it would mattter b/c they don't DIS and they're 3K miles away). Well, we had another family conference last night and told them it was okay to tell their friends now. DS and the youngest dd did a great job of not telling any one.

So, ds just got picked up by my friend and he gave me that look of can I tell now. So, I said sure and he was so happy to share that he's getting a brother.

All the kids are happy to get a sister/brother they can't stand it. The babysitting I did this summer showed me how they would enjoy having another baby in the house. Our van is of course at maximum capacity and I'm not ready for a 15 passenger van yet. LOL

DH's kinda excited. He's trying to juggle how things are going to work out if he goes back to school, trying to get a computer certification by Xmas (MCSE by Microsoft), our finances etc. But I know he'll be happy in the end.

Oldest dd will be in 7th grade by the time this one starts Kindergarden.

B/c we were in baby whirlwind with the three we'll be able to enjoy baby Davis a lot more. :goodvibes

The kids are already talking to the baby. Its cute they'll say, hi baby or come out soon o.k.?.

I'd like to print out a calendar so that the kids can see what's going on inside my stomache. They don't need a blow by blow, but just to give them an idea of what's going on.

Sounds awesome Tae Ja!!! When we had Teia, Conor was 7 and Logan was 9. In some ways, she's like an only child, she has had my attention all to herself. It's great, you'll have a built in baby sitter....they're the best kind! I don't trust Teia with anyone other than Logan & Conor!

Tae Ja, I wasn't sure if you saw my post earlier....when exactly will you be at WDW?

Whoops! I know I saw that....:scratchin

We're thinking about going for Christmas b/c I can't stand the family stress with both our families. The cost for airfare and a rental is outragious. I'd rather cruise again. So, if we go at Christmas we'll drive down again. I'll keep you updated.

Who knows. We have to save our $$ too for baby Davis. Baby things don't last as long as they used to anymore. :badpc:

Great, keep me posted! :thumbsup2

Baby things are sooo cute! Didn't it always seem that after your youngest outgrew stuff, they came out with cuter stuff? Now you get to buy new cute stuff! :thumbsup2

How exciting! Well, if it couldn't be me then I'm glad it was Taeja - that boat needed to make a baby. :Pinkbounc
I'm so excited! And jealous :p

I am taking a medicaiton today to "jump start" things, so we may be due within a month or so of each other! 2008 will be named the "peanut cruise" :goodvibes
