Does anyone know if the airlines are allowing a little leeway on the amount of checked luggage since we have to put all that other stuff in?

AA is, only until mid-August. By then they figure that people should have figured out how to re-pack, I guess. :teeth:

Lisa, HOw is Conor?
He's still feeling really lousy. I feel bad. He was up a lot last night, I kept hearing him, I doubt he got any sleep. I don't think he napped today either.

I think tomorrow I'll bite the bullet and take him to the doctor. I never know when it's bad enough to take them. Sometimes, it's a virus and they won't prescribe anything anyway. I hate seeing him so uncomfortable though. It's like this guessing game, do you wait and see if it improves or just jump the gun and take them in? Always a dilemma! Judging by his appearance, it doesn't look like he's improving so why prolong it?

He's in middle school but he has duel enrollment at the high school for Spanish. He rides the high school bus in with Logan, takes Spanish 1st period, and then waits at his school's before school program for TWO HOURS before his school starts. He doesn't want to miss that Spanish class! He wants to go in early, go to Spanish, and then have me pick him up and take him to the doctor. The doctor's office won't even be open until after he's done with that class so if he can stand it, he could pull it off without a problem.

I am watching a rerun of will and Grace on Fox. OMG I forgot how funny this show is. :lmao:

wow what a dedicated kid! i always wanted to miss school for any reason i could. when i was in 9th grade we had 8th graders coming to the high school for our first period geometry class before their school started. he must be really good a spanish. i took it for 2 years in high school. and then i attempted it in college. i got a 'w' first semester for withdrawing it and then i turned it to pass/fail second semester and i failed it. granted i got really sick second semester. i had mono but we didn't know what it was until may. i got it in december. it would come and go and all tests would come back negative. i had to go to some special doctor who decided i had aids. i was like lady that isn't possible in the least. yet she insisted. then finally my mono test came back positive. was not a fun year...

dude... when i came around and you started running that first time i was like what the... yeah no... going all out is not a good idea if you plan on running anything over a mile...
Um...I'm not an idiot. It's just a natural instinct of mine to start out kinda fast. It's not like I was really sprinting or anything...and I did slow it down.

:sad2: Poor Conor :sad2: It's sad how kids don't want to miss school even when they are that sick. They know how hard it is to get caught up.

Oh I had a friend that had to take Spanish at the high school when she was in 8th grade. At her first middle school she went to they started spanish in 6th...but in ours they started in 7th so when she transferred in in 7th grade she took spanish with the 8th graders (which included me! :teeth: ) and then in 8th she had to go to the HS. We also had a math program that put 6th graders in the 7th grade math so they had to go to HS in 8th grade for math for one period. But I can't imagine wanting to go to school when you're sick. What an interesting kid you have...

He really is dedicated. Now Logan...He is the one who'll stay home if the wind is blowing the wrong way. At times, he has the grades to show it, too. (He swears though, that he is getting his act together this year, I am confident he'll do it, too!)

This is Conor's first attempt at Spanish. He is in all advanced high school weighted classes at the middle school. They offer the Spanish to a small group of kids so they can get a jump start on high school. He's in 8th grade. If he knocks off a year of Spanish now he'll have more room for fun stuff in high school. Unfortunately, Logan didn't get to do this, I think he regrets it. Logan has HUGE potential but not as much drive. Conor is a go getter. All three of my kids are amazingly lucky to be as smart as they are. Everything was a battle and struggle for me. I am envious of all three of them. If they put their mind to it, they can do anything!
