Dawn, thank you so much for suggesting Hot Topic! I didn't find the billowy pirate/poet shirt, but I did find one of those corset type shirts that are piratey/wenchy. So I won't need a waistcoat anymore. Thanks so much! :thumbsup2
I still need to look! I went online and they have some cute stuff. When I go to the mall I am going to pop in and see.

Here's a picture of the one I got:
Corset002.jpg

It zips up in the back. Hayley got one that was fuschia. It was the same type idea, except it didn't zip up in the back. It had about 20 hooks in the front. I think it had a tie in the back like mine does in the front.

Yeah I could put Lori! My daughter is Kristin though maybe I will change her name to Kristi for the cruise. :rotfl: You know she would want to do it. What about lime green nail polish? :rotfl:

I was thinking that too. :lmao: :lmao:

I stoppped by one of our local resale shops looking for uniforms for the kids. I looked in the dress isle b/c youngest dd is such a dress fanatic. So, what do my wandering eyes should appear, but a lilac gingham WALT DISNEY WORLD dress! I gasped and showed the oldest dd right away what I found. I had given our 3T DCL dress to another DISer. I was glad to send it to a new home, but was sad that we had to let it go. I was like this walking out of the resale shop :jumping1:

Hi again :sunny:

Really? Do they actually make it easier to get the shoes on and off? Hmmmm...maybe I'll go shopping again. :teeth: I looooove shopping.

Dawn

Yep - you can just slip right in and out them instead of untying and retying. Don't even have to bend over to do it. A word of advice - buy the funky curly ones if you can find them, and leave the last hole unlaced. Makes it even easier. :goodvibes

Ok, as promised.......just ignore the goofy grin - the ones I took not smiling looked like I was the walking dead.

It was taken in the bathroom mirrow, as DH is very busy killing zombies on the XBox right now.

Has anyone here ever dyed their hair with Kool Aid?
Couldn't sleep again last night and found some instructions online and thought I'd give it a try.. hahaha

Everywhere I go, I smell cherry! It's driving me slightly nuts.. and it's supposed to stay on there a couple more HOURS! Crazy.
I'll get impatient in about another half hour and that'll be it :-P

We are sooo close I can taste the Mickey Bar :)

haha no worries... i'm always glad to help out when i can!

and even walking a half marathon is a great accomplishment! i told my parents they should do it. my mom was hesitant about spending the money though just to walk the race...

sorry to hear about getting hurt! that's never fun. my knees are a little wierd sometimes. so i have to make sure i ice them and stretch out and all that good stuff. the worst i had was some weird pain on the side of my foot. i took a couple weeks off and it was fine after that...

anyways, i run in nike shoes. i have the shox. they are amazing. my pair are seriously probably the most comfortable things to run in. so you could always try those. granted they are kind of expensive, but if you're anywhere near a nike factory store (usually outlet malls and stuff) i say check them out! the pair i'm running in right now are normally over $100... i got my shoes (and special running socks) all for about $70. it was great. i highly recommend getting several good pair of socks made for running and stuff. i learned the hard way. i had many blisters and lost toenails after i did my marathon...

um, as to the difference between running on a treadmill vs running outside, i'm sure any shoe is just as good as any other. i don't really know the difference in that.

a good stretch you can do... i'm not sure how well it gets you achilles, it might be more for your calf but it might help. what you want to do stand facing the wall, rest your heel on the floor and put you toes on the wall and then lean in towards the wall. (if it makes sense you should feel a pulling in your calf). or you can do it my way... i stand backwards on a step with my toes on the edge and my heel hanging over and then you want to push that leg down. once again you should feel it in your calf. i'm not sure how much that will help with your achilles but i guess it couldn't hurt to try! i can ask some of my friends from college if they know anything else you can do (they ran track so they might know a little more than i do!)

i hope this has helped!

Thanks!!! This helps a lot. I have a pair of Nike's right now and they are great, just getting old. But not a nice pair like the shox, so I will definitely look for those. We live about an hour from an outlet mall (with a Nike store  ) so will now have a great excuse to go shoppping!!!!

Thanks for the info too on the stretch. I actually do that stretch before I play racketball, but might just have to give it a try too before the treadmill. DUH! Not sure why I haven't. gheesh

Well thanks a lot!!! Its nice to get some info from an actual runner

haha yeah, plans with the boy would have been preferable, especially since he was being a baby yesterday. however last night he did make my night when he sent me a text saying 'if it helps i miss you' hehe that's always nice :teeth:

ooo i love that movie! you'll have to let me know if you like it! i go to the movies too much, so i know most of them. although recently it's only been pirates i've seen :lmao:

mmm work bbq and apple cobbler... can i come!? :teeth:
haha have fun, enjoy the bbq and the movie!! :wave2:

I hope you ended up having a nice night last night. Did the boy come through or was it a night in front of the t.v. hmmmm.... I'm guessing if I keep reading these posts I will soon find out, :rotfl:

I liked Charlie and the Chocolate factory but couldn't believe how different it was from the original. I looooove the original so I went in to it already going, ok its not going to be as good, but it CAN still be good.

Anyway I liked it especially the theme about his dad. That was a great addition to the story. Though, I missed the whole slugworth morality part. That seemed like a good lesson for kids to learn on top of the lessons about gluttony, etc

The Oompa loompa choreography killed me.

And, whenever Wonka would tell that tv kid to stop mumbling. too funny

Well anyway it was a nice night, could have been a little warmer, a sweatshirt and sweats wasn't enough, shoulda brought my blanket but we had a meteor shower and it was great. Every once in a while a falling star would go above the screen and the crowd would "Oooh". It was pretty cool.

Even brought my dog, she wasn't naughty so I was happy, after the band stopped playing and the movie started she just curled up on her pillow and snoozed, except for when I broke out my popcorn....she was suddenly VERY awake popcorn::

Well I better get all caught up.... my grandma is coming over in a little while we're having crab and corn on the cob for my bday!!!! :Pinkbounc

Pink is my favorite color so I always imagine that the little pink bouncing blob is me, wooo hooo (now that I think about it though, I'm not sure why I don't have legs......)

yeah! you should totally do it! yep i'm doing it 2007 definitely. most likely i'll do it again in 2008. if you're thinking of doing it you might want to sign up. it's 80% full already and the half is closed. and if for some reason you don't think you can do it this year, if you let them know by a certain date (sometime in november i believe) they will automatically sign you up for 2008...

but that's what i did. i couldn't run the whole way last year (due to my own stupidity i paid dearly and i will be redeeming myself). but i walked the last 8 miles... and the disney one is so much fun. it's a great experience. and just about everyone is there to have a good time. yeah there are some really really fast people, but it's all about fun. they have characters set up all over the place you can stop and take a picture with them. you get to see back areas of each of the parks. and everyone cheers for you. it's a really great experience. i think that's part of the reason i'm so keen to do it again.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

the half is already closed!?!?!? :furious: :sad2: :guilty: :sad2: :sad1: :scared:  :crazy2: :headache: :worried: :(

why why why did I wait so long to get the courage up to decide I would try it? argggh I knew i was never going to be able to run the dang thing, but i was going to try to run/walk it, like run a couple walk a couple blah blah blah

I just actually asked my sister the other day if she would come down with me and cheer me on so I wouldn't have to stay down there by myself.

drat do people ever change their mind and you can get on some sort of waiting list in case someone cancels out then you can get on?

Oh well, I'm not physically read for that challenge anyway. Just like to have a goal and that one seemed fun.

gol' dern it
