The sheet has columns with the first 10 weeks of school listed on them. I guess she sends this home weekly to keep us informed of their progress. We have a reading program called Accelerated Reader (A.R.) here. The kids get a point goal and they read and test on books within their assigned reading level. This sheet also indicates their goal and what their percentage is each week. At least she's thorough with the communication.

Ya, more through than me. That's a :thumbsup2 for the teach

Who has second seating in our group? Maybe we will see you around! :thumbsup2
We have second seating.
I spent the day interviewing at three Alzheimer's facilities. I have long known we would have to find a place for Mom and finally the siblings are on board. I will interview at least four more.

If anyone has any spare prayer time, I would appreciate discernment in determining which facility is the one God wants Mother in.
Thanks in advance.

Jan I will certainly keep both your mom and you in my prayers. The right thing will come to you :goodvibes

Jan  I'm frequently amazed at how the oddest situations tend to work out for the best. Dawn
Dawn posted this in response to my report on needing to find an Alzheimer's facility in Indy close to me instead of in NY or AL near my siblings. I found this comment today--Friday--after interviewing three of 7 or more facilities and it was a boost to me.I figure that happens that way because God is at work. THANKS FOR THE REMINDER!!

Dawn - my DH used a wheelchair at Disney one day because he had thrown his back out. He still wanted to go, so we borrowed one of the park's. There are a million reasons why someone would need a wheelchair - don't feel like you should tough it out just because you CAN walk. My husband can walk too, but it caused him such severe pain that he was miserable.

And one quick question - when you resumed full activity, did you throw yourself right in without a build-up? If so, that may be why they are so swollen. I would keep taking your meds, and do just a LITTLE bit every day and gradually build yourself up. You may still need the wheelchair by the time you go, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Hope that helped.

And Jan, I know you probably won't see this, but I'm glad I was some help and I hope everything goes smoothly! You will have such a WONDERFUL vacation, with nothing to worry about, in less than 4 weeks!

I should get back to work...... :rotfl:

I am trying to read the posts. Am on page 503 I think and you are way past that. But I found this and thank you for it. :thumbsup2

Thanks too for all the encouragement to Dawn to get the wheelchair. She can ride in it or push it when some walking would be therapeutic. No stigma--WDW is for everyone in every situation and our situations change. When I took Mother in April of 2004--her first time--to EPCOT Flower and Garden show, I got her a wheelchair so she did not use up her limited energy walking and thus miss all there was to see. It also gave me something to hold as I had injured my knee a couple weeks earlier.
Do what works for you Dawn,

ROCK ON! hehe that was totally me last night!
concert was great, saw the clarks, a band from pittsburg. apparently there were a lot of pittsburg people there because they all started chanting. my sister and i were like dude calm down you're in dc, this is redskins territory :rotfl2:
opening band was good. the second guy wasn't very good at all. he seriously was putting us to sleep. but the clarks were awesome. we didn't stay the whole time as it was getting late and we were starting to die. it got to a point where i said let's just see what the next song is and we'll go. well luckily they played the song i really wanted to hear 'snowman'. hehehe i love anyone who writes a song about a snowman!

well i was just peaking in for a quick good morning and to leave my report on the concert. now i must let my dog outside and get my 5 miles in before i change my mind :rotfl2:

should be a good run this morning. it's about 60 outside according to weatherbug and looking out my window it looks just beautiful! have a great morning everyone!

Good Morning everyone! :sunny:

We survived our first week of school :teacher: - anybody else? :surfweb:

I've been reading posts from cruisers on the Sept 7 cruise and they've already gotten upgrades and some have gotten documents! Have I missed anyone announcing an upgrade or receiving documents (I've given up on trying to stay caught up with this thread  ;) )? :listen:

I've also been checking cabin availability and I still think our cruise is pretty full. Categories 12, 10, 8, 6, and sometimes 4, are all guarantees. Odd that the even numbered cats are gty - huh?

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm off to do a little more packing! :dance3:

Hey everyone. Just wanted to make an announcement...

Well.. due to Michael's car breaking down and it costing him $600 to get it repaired, we'll be cancelling all extras including the two days in Disney afterwards. Looks like we'll just get a room by the airport and have a couple days in Orlando to twiddle our thumbs, haha. Hopefully, now, I can get my cousin to pull through for me!

We've got to sit and look at money later but we'll probably be cancelling the whole lot of extras we had (massage, parasailing, stingray adventures)
Sorry if I had told any of you we'd be with you for those! I know someone on here either parasailed or had the Stingray Adventure at the same time.

I'm off though to prepare for a party I forgot I said I'd have tomorrow night...
haha.. bye!
