It's a fantastic deal if you 1) Go to WDW often and/or 2) Normally stay in the more expensive hotels. If you normally stay in the budget hotels or off-site, it takes much longer for it to become a good deal. That said, I love that DVC has kind of forced me to improve the quality of my vacations. I like using my points at Disneyland for staying in the Disney hotels. I like knowing that my vacation room is paid for in advance A LOT. It's been a great way to make sure that my family of hopeless procrastinators get good, relaxing vacations at the place where we have the most fun.

I can talk about it a LOT more if you want, I just try not to get too long-winded anymore. I loooooove my DVC membership.

Dawn

Talk away :listen: . We stayed off property once. I did not like it! We normal stay Moderate resorts but I fell in love with the Wilderness lodge and DD wants to stay in the Grand Floridian!
The room is the biggest part so if its done the rest is easy!

Jumping in, hope I am not out of place:
We use the continuous spray regularly, it's the only thing the boys will use. It's a very light aerosol mist that covers evenly. It's kind of a stiff feeling when it dries on the skin, DD HATES it. The boys like that it goes on clear in one shot. It lasts as long as any typical sunscreen. If you sweat a lot or are in the water, it is best to keep reapplying it. It's better to spray it on dry skin than wet so it adheres. The biggest downfall to using it is that there's not as much in the can as you think. I will probably bring two or three cans with me so we don't run out. Wal Mart has it for under $7. a can. The Banana Boat spray isn't the same as the Coppertone. It's not a clear aerosol, it's like a white creamy spray. We prefer the Coppertone. If you have any other questions, ask away. We swear by the stuff! :thumbsup2

ETA: I wil still bring traditional lotion for their faces.

Right, exactly. I also like that it's quick and you don't have to rub it in, so I can cover my kids without having to wrestle them to the ground. (Awww Mom! I don't need sunscreen!) The continuous spray means that you don't have to keep pumping it to get lotion out, which makes it very quick and easy. Plus, I can get my back without begging for assistance. Remind me to show you the lovely sunburn I got early in the season because I *thought* I had covered all of the exposed skin on my back. I also know a lot of people who use the stick sunscreen for the face and the spray for the body. I've used the spray on my face--I spray it into my hand and then apply it to my face. But the fumes about made me pass out :faint: so I don't recommend it. I still like the lotion sunblock better, but like I said, if it's not a run-by sunblocking, I have to tackle my kids and hog-tie them to get them to sit still. My kids are of Latino descent, so they like to pretend that they're not going to burn like their anglo-saxon mama.

so, for those of you that have their documents. If you did the advance registration on line is there anything else in the document package you need to do?

we only stayed off once, the first time we went. i was 8. so i don't really remember a whole lot about staying there and stuff. but when we stayed on my parents were like we're never staying off again. and then they looked at vacation club stuff in 96 but no one was around and they didn't understand it. we joined in 2001. they wish they had done it sooner.

no problem! i'm thinking about doing it too! i'm getting down friday night. it just depends on whether or not i want to be up early enough to run at 7am that day. i'll have to see what my flight is and what kind of sleep i'll be getting thursday night if i do do it. cause i will need to run at some point that day, why not do that? :rotfl:

DH and I are trying to decide whether or not to join that one.....problem is, we are HOPING I will be pregnant by then :goodvibes and I think at that point I would prefer just to sit and eat ice cream.

2008, however.......I'm thinking half-marathon!
